It is with immense grief that we would like to inform our compatriots of the passing away of Prince Alireza Pahlavi.

Like millions of young Iranians, he too was deeply disturbed by all the ills fallen upon his beloved homeland, as well as carrying the burden of losing a father and a sister in his young life.

Although he struggled for years to overcome his sorrow, he finally succumbed, and during the night of the 4th of January 2011, in his Boston residence, took his own life, plunging his family and friends into great sorrow.

Once again, we are joined with mothers, father and relatives of so many victims of these dark times for our country.

This is the brother of Reza Pahlavi.

My deepest condolences to the Pahlavi family.

Condolences and prayers for the Pahlavis.

Although when I went to Berkeley there were people always demonstrating against the Shah, I always thought he and his family were decent and honorable folks... And friends of the United States.

Mental illness is an awful disease, and I'm sorry to hear the young man succumbed to the darkness of depression.
May the Good LORD comfort his loved ones and family.

“Son of, not brother.”

No, it’s Reza Pahlavi’s younger brother. The Shah was Mohammad Reza Pahlavi

ALL exportation of radical Islam can be laid directly at the feet of Jimmy Carter. I say with total certainty that 9/11 would not have happened if Carter had not abandoned The Shah.

How very sad. May peace come to the family somhehow.

The people who left Iran for America after the Shah was removed, those former iranians were for the most part highly educated and became a successful part of American life.

I know many feel deeply what is happening now and I can only imagine he felt it too.
