It's "the absolute perfect spot in the U.S. government" to centralize efforts toward creating an "identity ecosystem" for the Internet,

Why not ID evryone who reads a newspaper, watches news on TV or listens to the radio while they're at it.

because those are controlled whereas the content on the internet is not. there are far too many ways for information to leak out anonymously for their liking

I'll bet there are plans in store that will have all new televisions to run a live feed of the audiences as well as to activate all webcams for the same purpose. "1984" has finally arrived. Thought crime is next and I read yesterday that a new computer controller has been invented that runs off of brain waves but it wouldn't surprise me to discover that it won't work on liberals.
