President Obama insisted America was 'digging itself out of hole' today as new figures offered a glimmer of hope for the country's beleaguered economy.
103,000 new jobs were created last month and the unemployment rate dropped to 9.4 percent, its lowest level in 19 months, the Labor Department said.
But the job growth fell short of expectations and the drop in unemployment was mainly because people stopped looking for work.

I have noticed the same thing.
Even though the UK is becoming a s-hole, their press seems to

Democrats always reverse the obvious and express it as fact. They’re experts at the art of projection, especially with their bought-and-paid-for mainstream media friends publishing their daily and weekly talking points.
They’ve been doing the exact opposite of digging us out of a hole, and they know it. Claiming otherwise would be humorous if 30% of the US population wasn’t falling for it.
Meanwhile back at the ranch the people have 2 more years of STUPIDITY.
ShadowStat says 23% of private workforce is un, under, or not working.
The gov says the participation rate is around 63 percent, meaning 37 percent are not, do not want to, or can not work.
Obama says it is near 9 percent( of course so would Bush too )
That’s roughly 2k jobs per state over the holiday season. Not counting temp. hires I wonder what the reality is.

Over 400,000 people PER WEEK file new claims for unemployment.
So last month a million and a half people filed for unemployment but it is great news that 100,000 people were hired at minimum wage for a few weeks for Christmas. Whatever.
This is kind of interesting because, to me, the Democrats with their stealth socialism, have dug the hole and blamed Bush. In reality it seems like the Democrats are digging themselves deeper into the hole.
I guess we shall see. There are plenty of results of policies to look at as several states, especially California, dig themselves out of their respective holes, with a Democrat governor. It will be an education for me to witness a Democrat demonstrating fiscal responsibility. Democrats have to keep their base poor and dependent upon entitlements to purchase their votes, IMO.
Actually, Mr. President, with the recent election, we decided we'd stop you from digging deeper.
I’m not sure how nobama and his useless family are helping dig us “out of a hole” given their penchant for dozens of vacations on Airforce One all over the world and all the hidden deficit spending of multiple of trillions of our money. But nobama is right...those of us who (unlike him) love America must ultimately dig us out of the hole HE created. What an anti-American putz loser.
“Digging ourselves out of a hole” must be a lot like “spending ourselves out of debt”. Of course, such a moronic statement isn’t surprising coming from a guy who can’t even button his own jacket correctly.
