Good article Bill. I see Liberaltarians like trumandogz says what basically amounts to “put a condom over it” when talking about porn on the internet or tv (condoms didn’t stop the spread of AIDS or the homosexual agenda from spreading throughout our valuable American institutions).

Liberaltarianism is truly a mental disorder. They can’t see past the ash on the tip of their doobie, and don’t realize that if these sinful acts were indeed “victimless crimes”, they wouldn’t be called “crimes” to begin with.

Take the “victimless crime” of pornography for example:

Not possible. Either you're a conservative who believes in the principles of Christianity that our Founding Fathers espoused, or you're a Libertarian (there is no small "l" in Libertarianism) who believes that man has the so-called "right" to do with his body as he damn well pleases (of course as long as no one else is "harmed", i.e. a "victimless crime").

I could me a menber of the pro abortion, pro sodomite/child molesting, pro "let's get hiiiiiiiigh", pro pornography, pro prostitution, pro suicide Liberaltarian Party, but (sigh) I believe in God and His laws, and because of that it's just not possible.

And I for one respect you for that and wish I could say the same. Women were not made to become sperm receptacles, but mothers for our children, and wives for the husbands and our best friends in our old age. We have left that path and the perversity we see today is one of the signs of the End of Time today, and for that I am most happy to see the End of Satan, His lies, disease resulting from such, and all of the wars.

My job as a word processing specialist and union steward and paralegal gave me a unique perspective on God, marriage, family and children in addition to the Bible, that filled in the spots I had questions about, since my Depression era parents were not forthcoming with sex education materials, since they were both shy, backward farm kids. I worked for the Ohio Dept of Health, AIDS/HIV Surveillance Section. I have seen color glossy photos of the ravages of sexually transmitted diseases that made my stomach turn and heave, it is so gross. The onslaught of the ravages of AIDS/HIV left whole towns with nothing but old grandmas and newborns, for it had killed all the others, and there was no one else left to take care of the babies, except for the evil men who wanted girls who had not contacted AIDS/HIV, so they raped the babies and old ladies, to avoid getting AIDS/HIV. This is so cruel, but not even the half of it, but I don't want to miss the gist of the moral of the story. Be single, obey God and if you can't contain your bodily desires, get married, but keep the wedding bed pure, and the wife holy, for she will be the mother of your children.

The Bible and this job taught me to be celibate and very, very careful as if the Bible was not enough to do that, this made it more certain, that I would not catch some gross and fatal disease, that cost more in one year in drugs than I made to live on. God blesses those who obey him, and He curses those who disobey him.

We are to worship the Creator, and not the creatures, creations or creature comforts and become Idolaters, tossing God and His Word out the window for the desires of lust and shame. God knowing our evil nature has provided an escape from such and a cure for sin, the Word of God, the Holy Spirit, and Salvation from the Lake of Fire. Without these, we would have lost all that we were made to obtain and enjoy.

Sexual sins, like all sins, cause God to remove His blessings from us in Deuteronomy chapters 28-33, and force the demons to oppress and possess those who do so, punishing them with physical and spiritual death and torment. We make our own beds and then we must sleep in them, I refer to our state of mind and peace of mind when it comes time for judgment for our sins in thoughts, words and deeds. Thank God Jesus’ death and blood brought to us forgiveness of sins and salvation from death in the Eternal Lake of Fire. Knowing evil, I wish I had been holy and righteous, but I am not perfect, just forgiven and glad to get one foot in the door of heaven.

I hope you all meet a godly spouse, have a good marriage, full of God's blessings in children, for only then, can a mere mortal become a God and create a child after his own likeness, so we can then understand how we were created after His Image.

The difference is in 1912 drug use was seen as an undesirable lifestyle choice and heavily stigmatized. Now that the liberals have taken over the media even pointing out the negatives of drug use becomes a “hate crime”. I am surrounded by liberals on a daily basis so I know of what I speak. Lacking either legal or social consequences, people will have no incentive to do the right thing. Which means, given the inherently flawed and imperfect nature of human beings, that they will make the wrong choices. And if drug use sharply increases how can the absolute capitalist system you favor function? Are drug users likely to be industrious workers and investors or are they more likely to demand a government handout? As much as you economic conservatives hate social conservatism you can’t have one without the other.

If you were serious about repealing laws against drug use you’d try to change society so that drug use would carry social consequences and the drug laws would be redundant. But I don’t see the libertarians doing that anytime soon; if I did their ideology would appeal a lot more to me. All I see them doing is demanding absolute economic liberty while whining about the sacrifices that that liberty requires. Ditch the libertarian label and start calling yourselves what you really are: quasi-anarchists. You’ll gain more popularity among bored youth looking for something to rebel against and you’ll be more honest about what your goals really are.

Yes, overuse of drugs, alcohol, etc. was stigmatized in 1912. During the previous 100 years, the amount of alcohol drunk per person in the US declined tremendously. Gee, alcohol and drugs were legal and social pressure was effective.

How did people see bootleggers and rumrunners during Prohibition? Illegal and then glamorous.

Re-legalize and then it's people personal character flaws that arise in substance abuse.
