(Idiot) Bloomberg slams lax laws that helped Arizona killer Jared Lee Loughner get firearm
NY Daily News ^ | 1/10/2011 | BY Erin Einhorn and Dave Goldiner

Buying the firearm used in the Arizona massacre was easy as pie for accused gunman Jared Lee Loughner, whose rampage is sparking a new debate over gun control.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives traced the 9-mm. Glock, serial number PWL 699, to a Sportsman's Warehouse in Tucson and confirmed - by store video and receipts - that Loughner bought it on Nov. 30.

Loughner passed an instant background check despite a drug arrest and history of erratic behavior. And thanks to a new law signed by Arizona Republican Gov. Jan Brewer, whose state has some of the loosest gun laws, Loughner was able to conceal it and carry it without a permit.

Rabbi Bloomberg, thou shal not have salt, nor Twinkies. On snow days thou shall rest. Thou shall hand over to the other Rabbi’s at the government temple all thy gold. You should go unarmed, but it is permitted to have other pay for bodyguards. This way you will be closer to God.

He’s too busy getting new mosques built to house domestic Muslim terrorists.

He was not allowed to join because of drugs. If the Army knew that then it must have been on record.

Was it the school that said he had to bring a mental eval that he was not a danger to himself or others?

“Loughner passed an instant background check despite a drug arrest and history of erratic behavior.”

Who is going to determine what constitutes ‘erratic behavior’?

The tragic actions of this communist-loving psychotic
scumbag will bring about an end to private sales of ALL guns (even though he purchased it legally at a gun shop). Better complete your collections soon.

despite a drug arrest and history of erratic behavior.

I gather the drug arrest had been expunged, but I haven't seen whether he was ever treated for mental illness. You can be crazy as a bedbug, but if there's no record of treatment, I don't see how you could show up on the relevant records!

No wonder the sheriff is so intent on making this political. What an idiot! If true, this is important and should be widely known. Exposing the evil is the first step in eliminating it.

I agree. According to news reports like this one. Loughner was deemed too dangerous to attend classes at Pima Community College, but so far as I have been able to determine the college reported his violent behavior to no one.

Politcal correctness kills again.

“”
In September, college officials sent campus police officers to Loughner’s home, where he lives with his parents, with a letter informing him he could not return without a mental health professional’s written assurance that his presence at college would “not present a danger to himself or others.” “”

It sounds like the data base of the instant background check failed- who was responsible for recording in that data base, this man’s history of threatening behaviors and mental illness symptoms??

If the sheriff had done his job and reported the suspect to the courts, because he made previous threats, then the current law would have kept him from getting a gun legally.

I wonder if he intervened on behalf of Loughner's parents to prevent the information from being put into databases that would have blocked him on a background check.

Bloomberg assumes that the murderer would have followed the firearms laws, but not the laws against murder.

Micheal Bloomberg should be a convicted felon for “straw purchasing” in PA and WV.

I expect we'll see more discussion of what the law “allows” to be put into the background check data base for a gun purchase, and who is responsible for putting that data there

It seems that if this guy had uttered one peep against an airline and he'd have been on a no-fly list

one threat against an abortion doctor and Homeland Security would have been all over him

one threat against gays or mosques and the DOJ would have been into anti hate crime investigation mode

or one rant against obama and the secret service would have got up close and personal

but he has been stalking Congresswoman Gifford at least passively since 2007 and acting out extreme antisocial behaviors with no legal intervention whatsoever

King Bloomberg the Idiot speculated the Time Square car bomber was a Tea Party follower when he turned out to be another Islamic terrorist. Mike, when you’ve proven yourself to be an idiot in these matters, STFU.

"And thanks to a new law signed by Arizona Republican Gov. Jan Brewer,[ . . . ], Loughner was able to conceal it and carry it without a permit."

"The new law had nothing to do with Loughner's ability to conceal and carry without a permit. The streets of New York and Chicago are filled with thugs who conceal and carry without a permit."

Not to mention Washington DC, which has stronger gun laws and a higher firearms homicide rate than any state.

In spite of arrests and multiple interactions with law enforcement, and in spite of being obviously psychotic, he was never involuntarily committed to a mental hospital and medicated. Why?
