In the wake of Saturdays Tucson, Ariz., shooting that left Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords in critical condition, six dead and more than a dozen injured, former Alaska gov. Sarah Palin reached out to Foxs Glenn Beck via e-mail.
Sarah, as you know, peace is always the answer. I know you are felling the same heat, if not much more on this, Beck wrote Palin in an e-mail, which he read on-air during his radio program Monday.
I want you to know you have my full support, Beck told Palin. You are always in my thoughts and prayers.
Concerned for her safety, Beck urged Palin to protect herself and invest in more security because an attempt on you could bring the Republic down.
There are nutjobs on all sides, Beck said. Tomorrow I am issuing a challenge to reject all violence. If people really believe Americans can become some version of al Qaeda, I will not stand in the shadows as too many overseas did after 9/11. Terror is terror. I dont care if its for Allah or for your party, you are not a freedom fighter, but a killer. There is a difference between a hard-fought political battle and violence Its time for politics to stop and sanity to begin.
Palin responded, I hate violence. I hate war. Our children will not have peace if politicos just capitalize on this to succeed in portraying anyone as inciting terror and violence. Thanks for all you do to send the message of truth and love and God as the answer.
Beck went on to say a few brief words about Giffords, who he had talked about on his show once before.
I used her as an example of someone with some political courage, Beck said.
Since Saturdays massacre, both Beck and Palin have been criticized by dozens of pundits and bloggers. Palin has been accused of inspiring the incident for creating a map during elections targeting districts of several liberal lawmakers, including Giffordss district, with the cross hairs of a rifle scope and instructing her followers, Dont retreat, reload.

I'd personally make sure it would be.
Where is the horse and the rider?
Where is the horn that was blowing?
They have passed like rain on the mountain, like wind in the meadow.
The days have gone down in the West behind the hills into shadow.
How did it come to this?
How did it come to this?Théoden King: The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers
An apt metaphor for our times.
The word, 'understatement' may not be strong enough to describe the weight of your comment. An attempt on Sarah's life would rip the country asunder.
If the White House hasn't already reached out to the Palins with an offer of Secret Service protection, it's going to look awfully bad for them in short order.
It sure would make it easy to determine who needs the most “attention”, now, wouldn’t it?
I get a laugh every time someone says that “this or that” will “bring down the republic”... Like “the republic” as it stands is anything we WANT to keep functioning...
Personally, I desire an end to this socialist tyranny.
i agree, if something happened to sarah- it would be open war. the white house better send her some protection
I'm afraid their celebrations would be short lived. The traitorous left would come to rue the day that one of them dared to harm our nation's finest patriot.
Then he flees back to where he came from. Wherever that is.
Hell.

Jeebus H., have we become that much of a gawd-damned Banana Republic that if some crazy wacko does something like that, then it could "take down the Republic"???
If so, this country doesn't deserve to survive.. Wackos have made attempts on a lot of our "leaders" (e.g. JFK, RFK, MLK the Pope, Ronaldus Magnus, etc) and we, as a nation, have worked our way thru it.
Have we really changed that much that?????
I pray we will never know the answer to this question. God protect her and her family.

Judging by the posts in this thread, yes. Ironic that many conservatives would like to replace one cult of personality with another.
Yes, the balkanization of America being advanced by the progressives is pretty much complete.
It begs the question: Can a very UNcivil war be far behind??
Join me in praying that they’ll allow the forces of right and decency to reverse things in a peaceful manner.
Because it’s war they want, I’m not all that hopeful.
...And what of Beck’s plea’s for peace?
Frankly, if it were to come to that, the Left wouldn’t give us an option but to defend ourselves. BUT, if something happened to a Palin, or a Beck, or a Limbaugh, and THEN Conservatives or Tea Partiers reacted violently, many would react negatively to that. They would see that as just revenge-seeking, and the MSM would paint the Conservatives into the “evil” corner. Of course by that point, things would deteriorate so fast, it just might not matter much.
But we have requested that the Oath Keepers NOT obey orders to keep them there when the SHTF...
Drama Queen Beck plants an idea in some kook’s head...
Give peace a chance.
But seriously. I generally agree with Beck about non violence and I certainly don't advocate its use. However, I can think of times in the course of human events that it is necessary.
The Revolutionary War comes to mind, as well as WWII and various other non peaceful but necessary "violence".
Beck needs to quit being so scared of the left. He is trying too hard to preempt criticism which will come anyway.
