The Army is studying whether to open combat arms units to female Soldiers, the Army's top officer said Jan. 6.
"We're looking at revising the policy," Gen. George W. Casey Jr. told a breakfast gathering of the Association of the U.S. Army in Arlington, Va. "We've had some work going on for a while, and that'll double back up to the secretary, I would think, in the next couple of months." Women are currently barred from infantry, armor and Special Forces branches, Casey said.
He did not say whether the Army is considering opening up all three areas to women, but he did say the study looked at the possibility of women in infantry.

I am a retired army senior NCO who has been in sustained combat so brutal you cannot imagine. Take a swipe at me with your sarcasm if it elates you.
This always works..there is a heavy safe or desk that needs to be moved up a flight of stairs. Who are you going to get to move that desk. Do you get two females or two men. Heck a
female NCO will grab two males.
Men have been taking up the slack for females in the military since this liberal experiment began.
More men will get killed if females are allowed in the combat arms.
What? Did we run out of men? Then why haven’t I been drafted back in?

Lets put a female with a tank crew in the 3rd Armored Cav regiment..she has to urinate..the surrounding foilage will not permit dismounting the tank. Where and how will she urinate from the tank..will she stand like men do. Does the tank commander have to find a suitable place for her to pee.
