If we can get EPA (or whoever) to put chips in the ears of all the American polar bears we can actually monitor such events for all of them ~ but not “in the woods” (there are no trees around there) but out on the ice.

Seems to me I remember reading about a big bird die off several years ago. Birds just falling dead. Could have been as much as 10 years ago, just can’t remember. I think it too was in Arkansas.

No. I think that all the breathless reporting these past 15 years or so of man-made global warming has got me into the habit of not trusting everything that comes out in the media. I want more facts

I've wondered the same thing. An example would be the swine flu thing. The media comes out with X number of people with the swine flu and then you ask, "how many people usually get the flu around this time?" and the number then turns out to normal. Just a manufactured crisis. Always ask questions and do your own research.

Surely, God's creation is in distress all over the globe.

But, Christ also said some other very interesting and terrifying things in that passage.

I know there are those who believe what they believe about the Rapture, and when it will occur in relation to the Great Tribulation.

But I cannot read these verses in Mark and not see Him say he come and snatch people away from the earth (and keep them safe unto Himself), and leaving others behind.

I blame George Bush, Sarah Palin, Rush, Glenn Beck, Global Warming and reading the Constitution during the opening of Congress. I’m sure you can trace each of these events back to something that one of these people said shortly before the event. If you can’t - it’s because of Global warming.

We had near-record cold in December.

The redwing blackbirds that died are warm weather birds that migrate south in the winter. In the spring, suddenly they're all around establishing their territories in marshy areas then just as suddenly in the fall they're gone.

If those birds that died did happen to get caught in the severe cold fronts that have been plaguing the midwest then it's understandable that their systems were shocked enough to kill them.....

WRONG-O. Near record cold for December does not mean what we used to have, which was 4 or 5 days of 20 below zero and so on, a month long record average means nothing, this birds are dying when the temperatures for those area’s are hardly way off the norm.

Twenty percent of these die offs appear to have occurred in the southern hemisphere....where it’s the middle of summer....
