Iran is playing a part in this.

Of that, I have no doubt.

According to the article I posted earlier this morning, it was one of President Suleiman’s follower’s in Parliament who would tip the balance and go along with Hezbollah.

Clinton: Lebanon crisis is effort to subvert justice

1.12.11
US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said Lebanon’s coalition crisis on Wednesday was a transparent attempt to subvert justice but vowed that the work of the UN-backed special tribunal would continue.

“We view what happened today as a transparent effort by those forces inside Lebanon as well as interests outside Lebanon to subvert justice and undermine Lebanon’s stability and progress,” Clinton told a news conference in Doha, Qatar, where she is attending a meeting of regional leaders.

Israel will be on guard against Hizzie provocations intended to bring on a military response. My view of course is, the best defense is a good offense, but Israel needs to string up whatever kinds of fence it has along the Lebanese frontier. The legit politicians in Lebanon need to campaign against the Hizzies as both a foreign proxy and a lawless and heavily armed threat to Lebanese society. Thanks jhpigott.
