Is it a memorial or an Obama rally? Souvenir t-shirts emblazoned with the logo for the 'Together We Thrive' gathering at the University of Arizona were placed on chairs at the arena ahead of the memorial.
It's odd for a memorial to a mass murder to have a logo, but it's crass to hand out souvenir t-shirts.

I vote it was an Bambi Rally. And when I got to the bar last night and they had Fox News Channel coverage on it, I quickly had the waitress put on the Duke game.....
That is EXACTLY what I saw as well but the MSM is doing their best to spin this in favor of the president!

True, but this event was not organized by Team Obama - from all indications it was a product of the Univ. of Az. And if I were an alumnus of that univesity, there would be zero dollars forthcoming until the President issued a formal apology for that indian medicine-man nonsense, the pep-rally atmosphere, the general disrespect toward the victims at a memorial service and to Gov. Brewer, and whoever was responsible for this disgraceful exhibition (theme, t-shirts, and all) is fired. As far as I could see, the Univ. of AZ President is as big an ass-clown as the rest, giddily going along with all the inappropriate crap like some kind of 15-minute rock star.
The whole display was, as you say, TACKY. The victims and families deserved better. The fact that the whole affair was so classless allowed Obama’s speech to rise to the level of the best part of the whole evening.
Can’t these guys do anything right?

The presidential event was not about the shooting.
If my 9 yr. daughter was killed, I’d be totally livid if they ever wanted to turn this into a political circus event. Turning it into a pep rally? What are they thinking? Its going to be used as a soap box before its over. Well, not much you can say, its what this country has become. It also takes your mind off of everything else that is occurring. The MSM will direct you in the direction they want you to go.
I shut it off about 15 minutes into Obama’s speech. But I’ve been wondering, did confetti fall at the end of the event?

Obama is simply unfit to be president. He is not capable of grasping the presidency any more than the shooter can grasp reality. In my opinion Obama and the shooter have much in common. Both are unable to understand reality and both have little regard for others. And both hate this country and neither have the ability to understand it. Obama is worse in that regard because he is not an American. He is an outsider, who wants to pull us in to his warped reality of America. No thanks. He will be a one term president. Unfortunately that is one term too many.
May G-d bless those killed and injured, their families and everyone that the shooting affected. May G-d open the eyes of the sick people that turned what should have been a grieving event into a farce. They, like Obama are lost and confused.

Think of his other "glorious" events that backfired (the columns at his DNC "coronation", the Berlin apologetic tour, his disastrous pressers about the election) - they planned them, and conducted them "full steam ahead"
