Congresswoman Michele Bachmann to Deliver Tea Party's

State of the Union Response - Tuesday

The Tea Party Express (www.TeaPartyExpress.org), one of the largest and most aggressive national tea party groups, is teaming up with new media developers Tea Party HD (www.TeaPartyHD.com) to host Congresswoman Michele Bachmann and broadcast her response to President Obama’s State of the Union speech on Tuesday night.

“Michele Bachmann has always been very supportive of the Tea Party Express, has long stood up for tea party principles of fiscal responsibility, and is truly a ‘Rock Star’ of the movement.  She is a natural voice for We The People, and we’re thrilled to be joining with her to respond to the President’s remarks.  Obama has demonstrated over and over that he still doesn’t get it, and has yet to ” Said Tea Party Express Chairman Amy Kremer.

Rep. Bachmann is the founder of the first Tea Party Caucus in Congress and has been an early supporter of the tea party since its inception.

It's also true her speech on behalf of Tea Party Express will be one subtle step towards her being the sole leader and Tea Party Express being the leading group.

The Tea Party Express is a legitimate expression of the Tea Party, is an activist organization, and has asked the founder of the House Tea Party Caucaus to speak. It does project power, but I don't think it assumes all power from the entire Tea Party movement.

Various Tea Party organizations are free to have their own speakers, too. They are not being muscled out or anything.

And I don't think that the public is going to forget Sarah Palin's connection with the Tea Party any time soon.

Does The Tea Party movement need a speech for motivation? The Tea Party movement was organized and motivated long before she and Tea Party Express became the defacto leader.

No, but I think those ignorant of what the tea party represents deserve an introduction. It wouldn't matter to me if it was Sarah Palin or Rand Paul or Jim DeMint or someone else. The bottom line here is whether Bachmann will represent the tea party message in a way that reflects that.

Ryan is a good man. I believe he has learned the lesson of TARP, etc.

Consider: he is an elected Republican in a Democrat district...I think that shows he can bring in responsible people who believe we need to cut spending. He performed admirably in the dog and pony show by Obama—that stupid round table discussion—in fact, Obama quit calling on Ryan because Ryan was kicking his narrow ass on the facts.

I didn’t know Paul Ryan was anti-tea party, he’s a very good conservative and probably the best on the budget the Conservatives have.
