Iran to introduce cyberwarfare crack teams

The Iranian authorities have promised to "put cyberpolice all over the country" as it comes under threat from online dissent at home and computer sabotage from abroad.

The country's head of police, Ismael Ahmadi Moghaddam, said Iran had to stamp out "defamation and mischief" at the opening of a new headquarters in Qom, the religious centre of the country.

He gave few details of his plans, but his words suggests he intends to continue developing the Chinese-style model already in place of using a mixture of technological censorship using keywords and large numbers of trained police to monitor websites.

He may also be referring to Iran's attempts to boost its defences against cyberwarfare from abroad. Leading politicians, including President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, have reluctantly admitted that the country's nuclear programme was affected by a mysterious computer word named Stuxnet which western antivirus experts had already discovered was infecting computers throughout Asia, including Iran.

Subsequent analyses showed that it was highly sophisticated and appeared to target and disable uranium enrichment centrifuges operated through computers manufactured by the German firm Siemens of the sort used in Iran.

It has been my experience that Iranian women are, in general, pretty good looking too. And smart. (at least the westernized ones)

Too bad for them who live in Iran.

I will say this. Phillips crack team of “Digital Stream” HDTV was from S.Korea. IRAN is probably being led down a ridiculous road.
