You assume that, even IF there is negative international backlash, that China cares. They’re playing for domestic consumption where America is seen as arrogant and power-hungry.

The point of all this is that this wouldn’t have happened if our country demanded respect, rather than seemingly apologize for every perceived transgression.

Let the Chicom gummit gloat at home as it wills; I think it will turn an uncomfortably bright spotlight on them.

But the whole jig is up if, because of all this new attention, the Chinese people realize how implausible the claim of the film was. The Chicoms will be forced into major mea culpas at home. How many Americans, how many Europeans, even knew about this particular “little lie” until this incident happened?

The Chicoms will be forced into major mea culpas at home. You really think their STATE-RUN media will even mention any negative blowback???? Why do you think that song is even popular there in the first place??

Alternative means WILL get the news in. The demands of foreign commerce leave loopholes. Chinese might not give a damn whether Europe frowns at them, but they sure would give a damn about learning they were being lied to.

>>>Hildabeast prolly picked it out herself.<<<

No doubt. In all likely-hood it was composed by her predecessor - Madeline Allbright.

This story demonstrates the incompetency of the WH. The pianist picked the piece and stated that he did so to make Chinese feel good about the military power of China. The station that broadcaset the concert is very sympathetic to the ChiComs. The incompetent people in power in our government didn’t have a clue what was going on. That is the very depressing part.

Another sad example of gross incompetency in the Obama adminstration.

Will we survive two more years?

The Chinese pianist is a Chinese citizen now residing in New York. Some call him avant garde, some a fruitcake, and some a backbiting sonofabitch.

Supporters of Free Trade with Communist China probably enjoyed the tune. Real Conservative Americans...not so much

Supporters of Free Trade with Communist China are COMMUNISTS. End Free Trade with Communist China, now....
