Rahm Emanuel knocked off ballot by Appellate Court

I just heard on WLS radio in Chicago that the Illinois Court of Appeals (the second-highest court in the state) overturned the recommendation of the electoral panel and ruled that Rahm Emanuel may NOT be on the ballot for Mayor. They ruled that he did not meet the statutory residence requirement nor did he meet any of the statutory exceptions.

Something funny is going on in Chicago and the DNC. You know Obama arranged for Daley to step down and then offered him a position so that Rhambo had great job to go to to get him out of the administration.

Things have gone right and the locals of Chicago have fought back against the establishment.

It ain’t over til it’s over, as Yogi Berra famously said. Whether it’s the Illinois Supreme Court of the Illinois Legislature, Emmanuel is almost certainly going to exhaust all avenues. Look for Obama to give Illinois billions in bailout money in close proximity to the Illinois legislature changing the residency law to create an exemption for those “serving the people of Illinois” in an official capcity with the federal government.
