Obama intentionally did not mention gun control in his State of the Union, but aides say that in the next two weeks the administration will unveil a campaign to get Congress to toughen existing laws.
At the beginning of his State of the Union address, President Obama tipped his hat to Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, whos now recuperating in a Houston medical facility. But throughout the hourlong speech, he never addressed the issue at the core of the Giffords tragedygun controland what lawmakers would, or should, do to reform American firearm-access laws.
That was intentional, according to the White House. An administration official says Obama didnt mention guns in his speech because of the omnipresent controversy surrounding the Second Amendment and gun control. Tuesdays speech was designed to be more about the economy and how, as Obama repeated nine times, the U.S. could win the future.

It is worth the read. It will chill you to the bone. There was unimaginable suffering of the people of the old USSR beginning in 1918. They were worse than the National Socialists who came to power in Germany in the 30’s. How soon people forget.

Black politicians are Communists. The main thing for them is not race but pushing communism. They use race as a ploy.
Exactly right. Core problem is not enforcing the multiple laws already in place. As with the Ft. Hood shooter, the PC chain of command is at fault. Didn’t take required action, again. Soooo, let’s blame guns.
This is good to know. I know a lot of hunters like their anti-badguy guns, I just once in a while hear how gun control people get support from older generations because they fear the guberment might come their bolt actions. That isn’t necessarily true, just something I hear once in a while to no rebuttle. Thanks for the rebuttle :D
Notice how in the past two weeks there have been a lot of focus on shooting of police officers? Talking points memos from Dems, surely, are bringing normal shootings to the forefront.
Yesterday, one of those “shootings” in California that put nine schools on lockdown was found to be from a guard/officer who accidentally shot himself.
The "issue at the core of the tragedy" is not gun control; it's an insane madman.
Heh, heh. Well, Im down here in Texas and know a lot of hunter types, all age groups, mostly conservative backgrounds, family members, friends, neighbors, ppl from church, etc. Cant think of anyone whod fit in to that category of concern. I know there is a concern of bad-guy guns getting into the wrong hands, to commit crimes, etc. Cause of that, I dont mind criminal background checks and such. But, better not outlaw good-guys from having handguns, tactical shotguns and tactical rifles. Hey, if that math teacher was grumpy then, that might explain it right there! He might need to be evaluated maybe need to contact Sheriff Dupnic and let him investi ok, not a good idea.
Thank you very much for the link.
We need to push back with facts .. it hurts liberals to think in terms of facts, they get in the way of their best arguments.
>What is it about congress shall make no law that they do not understand?<
You would think that the phrase “the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed” would be pretty straight forward and easy to understand.
But as it is not 2,000 pages of Obfuscation and full of government bureaucracy .. they just have to mess with it.
great post
