Well, we spend much more on Medicare than on Medicaid.

Both need to be scrapped, though.

They say that Black people, as a percentage of the population, receive less benefits from SS because they die earlier. So, I guess if you don’t live to collect your SS, you don’t collect on medi-care, either.

The private sector would just pillage and tear it apart over time.

And our government hasn't? It has to be ended but it has to be done orderly. It will take a generation to accomplish this in a way that does not bring anarchy and harm to the vulnerable. As for private sector pillaging? There is federal prisons. Insure it if we must the same way FDIC insures our bank accounts. But fraud at any level should be punished to the fullest extent of the law just as some of our congresscritters who have raided Medicare & SS should be out of office or even in a prison.

Well, maybe it has more to do with a high percent of their population that doesn't graduate from high school, ends up in jail, doesn't earn as much when they do work or claim welfare as a career choice.
The demise of "Black" people in the last 40 years is appalling - and they have no one to blame but themselves.

Nope, those in government are pure as the driven snow and will spend eternity painstakingly striving to do what is best for those in need without even a thought for themselves.

Government is perfect and compassionate.

The private sector can't say the same.

We as private citizens need government to help regulate us to keep us out of trouble.

Actually I trust neither as far as I can see them. LOL. Insurance companies keep a sizable amount of Shysters on hand to find ways either to delay or not to pay.

Where exactly in Article 1, Section 8 of the US Constitution is the enumerated power found for Congress to run an insurance program for anything, let alone health care?

I've been on it 7 months now and haven't gotten anything except having to pay $110 per month. Yes, I was forced on it. My primary insurer became my secondary. Had I not accepted Medicare, my private insurer would have dropped me like a lead balloon.

Of course it does. The shorter life span is definitely cultural but they would tell you that is because they have been traditionally OPPRESSED by the evil White capitalists and it’s time for some social justice, so “show me the money”.

Never said it was constitutional or not - just that it’s not a free ride as some were claiming.

Some do and some don’t. My pastor paid into the system all his working life. Retired at 65, dropped dead of a massive heart attack before he even drew his first SS check. My late husband died at 57 from a massive heart attack.

The money they paid in to the Medicare system is kept by the Medicare system. Ditto SS.

MediCare and SS are paid out of the general fund because they are full of IOU’s.

Never said it was constitutional or not

That's the ONLY question that should be asked.
