State lawmakers want Obama’s birth records (Arizona's HB2544 & Burges takes 2nd try at birther bill)

State lawmakers want Obama’s birth records

PHOENIX — More than three dozen Republican legislators want a plan to require Barack Obama to produce an original birth certificate for Arizona officials if he intends to seek re-election.

HB 2544 would forbid the secretary of state from putting a presidential candidate’s name on the ballot unless certain documents are first provided. These include a sworn statements outlining where the candidate has lived for the last 14 years, that the candidate does not hold dual citizenship and that the person’s allegiance “is solely to the United States of America.”

But what worries Ken Bennett, the current secretary of state, is that he also would have to be furnished “an original long form birth certificate that includes the date and place of birth, the names of the hospital and the attending physician and signatures of the witnesses in attendance.” Without that, he said, the measure would bar him from including the candidate’s name on the ballot.

“I don’t know that’s on MY birth certificate, for goodness sakes” said Bennett, who was born in Tucson.

Potentially more problematic, he said, is that each state has its own system of recording births. And Bennett, who is a Republican like all of the measure’s 41 sponsors, is not sure that its even possible to get an “original” birth certificate.

For example, he said, people seeking birth certificates from many states, often for passports or other documentation, are instead furnished with a “certificate of live birth.” That usually takes the form of a state official certifying, under oath, that there are documents on file proving a specific person was born on a specified date.

That’s not all, Bennett said, pointing to the requirement for the birth certificate to have the names of the attending physician and the signatures of witnesses.

“If you were delivered at home with a midwife, does that mean you are no longer qualified to be the president of the United States?” he asked. “If there aren’t any signatures of witnesses in attendance, you’re no longer qualified?”

And what, exactly, is a “long form birth certificate,” he asked.

“Is that a standard term of art that means the same thing in all 50 states?” Bennett continued. “And is it even available in all 50 states?”

Officially speaking, the legislation crafted by Rep. Judy Burges, R-Skull Valley, does not mention Obama. And Burges, who first sponsored a slightly different version of the measure last year, said it’s not necessarily about Obama, though she admitted she doubts he was born in Hawaii as he claims, or that he can show he is a U.S. citizen.

“With what’s happening throughout the world, we need to make sure that our candidates are certifiable,” she told Capitol Media Services when she introduced the first measure.

Burges managed to get the measure through the House last year. The bill died in the Senate. That requirement for the “long form original,” appears designed with Obama in mind.

Officials in Hawaii released a short-form version of the birth certificate when the issue first arose before the 2008 election. When that failed to satisfy critics, Dr. Chiyome Fukino, the state’s health director, issued a statement saying he has “seen the original vital records maintained on file by the Hawaii State Department of Health verifying Barack Hussein Obama was born in Hawaii and is a natural-born American citizen.”

Bennett seems satisfied. “I think he was born in Hawaii,” he said. “I personally believe he is a U.S. citizen.”

Others sponsors of the legislation, though, apparently have their doubts.

Rep. Carl Seel, R-Phoenix, told KPNX this week he believes Obama — and all presidential candidates — should provide proof of their citizenship. Asked specifically if he believes Obama is a citizen, Seel responded, “I have questions about that.”

Bennett, acknowledging all the controversy, said he is sympathetic to the goal. “I think we need a legitimate and verifiable process for candidates to demonstrate that they meet the qualifications,” he said.

“In the case of the president’s office … the best place is at the federal level so that each state is not doing its own, different thing,” Bennett continued. “But it seems unfortunately obvious that they’ve not sufficiently implemented such a process at the federal level or we wouldn’t be having these questions.”

He added, though, that no process might be enough “in the minds of some people.”

I have had an official copy of my COLB for years — it has my little feetprints, doctors’ signature, State Seal, father and mother name, place of birth and all that formal stuff you need to get a passport.

A few years ago I wanted a passport. Having no idea where my birth certificate was, I dropped by the city clerk's office and, for $5, got an official certificate with a seal. No footprints, no doctor's signature, not even the name of the doctor (I still don't know who delivered me), no witnesses' signatures, no witnesses' names. I had no trouble getting a passport on that basis.

“We could have had this Birther issue taken care of a while ago. Too many Fraud Cons and GOP Media have been working with the Obama Supporters to help keep Obama from releasing his real Birth Certificate.”

You’re exactly right. There is no excusing these faux conservatives. If the issue was raised to the level it needed to be before the election, we wouldn’t be in the sorry state we’re in now.

The most monumental story in AMERICAN HISTORY. The usurpation of the Presidency of the United States. We get alinskly ridicule from Beck and Coulter. Brilliant.

Anyone, including a minor, can move out of the country and request the Secretary of State issue the a Certificate of Loss of Nationality.

A minor has the option of revoking their Certificate of Loss of Nationality until 6 months after their 18th birthday.

See 8 USC 1481

RIGHT OF EXPATRIATION

R.S. Sec. 1999 provided that: “Whereas the right of expatriation
is a natural and inherent right of all people, indispensable to the
enjoyment of the rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of
happiness; and whereas in the recognition of this principle this
Government has freely received emigrants from all nations, and
invested them with the rights of citizenship; and whereas it is
claimed that such American citizens, with their descendants, are
subjects of foreign states, owing allegiance to the governments
thereof; and whereas it is necessary to the maintenance of public
peace that this claim of foreign allegiance should be promptly and
finally disavowed: Therefore any declaration, instruction, opinion,
order, or decision of any officer of the United States which
denies, restricts, impairs, or questions the right of expatriation,
is declared inconsistent with the fundamental principles of the
Republic.”

BTW, where is that BC he found among his mother’s belongings, upon her passing?

It would be interesting to see if it were ever proudced but it would be of unknown provenance. The state of Arizona should insist on a certified record provided directly from the State of Hawaii. If they can't provide one then Obama shouldn't be allowed to get on the ballot.

if a home birth is attended by a mid-wife and the mid-wife signs a sworn statement attesting to the birth then the child can be issued a certified birth certificate. A certificate that can be used to prove citizenship. Of course it is still requires that both parents be U.S. citizens. I believe that a mid-wife statement is allowed in all states. Unless obama was born to parents that were U.S. citizens , he is not ,nor ever can be the President of the United States. This is precisely the reason he will fight to make sure no one ever gets a copy of his birth records( if he was even born in Hawaii)

“Exactly how is barry soreto jetting about the world without a valid passport, since his HI birth information is insufficient, based on the State Department’s requirements?”

I guess a good question would be, if Prsident Omama shows up in Egypt and faults America for the ME’s ills, does he have to go through customs and get his passport stamped?

that the candidate does not hold dual citizenship and that the person’s allegiance “is solely to the United States of America.”

Legislators will also need to specify that candidates for the office of POTUS must provide proof that they have NEVER held dual citizenship of any other nation. Requiring proof that they merely do not hold dual citizenship CURRENTLY is not enough. If a candidate has ever held dual citizenship through birth or by some positive act on their part to obtain dual citizenship, they are not eligible for the office.

Not completely. I am still not able to see my Freepmail or set my Preferences. Freepmail lights up red and I click on it and see who the mail is from, but then I click on the link and the page comes up blank.

For some time I was not even able to see my Pings, but all of a sudden that cleared up. Another real strange thing has been the Freepathon threads keep breaking up on me. Some pages are fine but others are not. I have had no problems with any other threads.

Very Mysterious.

Why do Repubs feel compelled to say this? They're worse than Dems who don't know or care where 0h0m0 was born but support him anyway.

They did? I don’t think anyone claims that photo shopped forgery we see all over the Internet. I have never heard Obama officially claim any specific document as being HIS birth certificate. These are all rumors.

The following was not a rumor:

Obama is a native born US citizen

Based on what document did you make that statement? Nothing I have seen indicates there is any evidence of this. And "native" to what country?

Eventually, Obama naturalized as a US citizen.

Based on what document did you make that statement? Nothing I have seen indicates there is any evidence of this.

If Barrack H. Obama, Sr. is Obozo's biological father, then by definition, it is impossible for Barrack H. Obama, Jr. to be a "natural born" U.S. citizen, as the Constitution clearly requires....The only way for BHO (aka Barry Serotoro aka Obozo) to be a "natural born" U.S. citizen is if someone other than Barrack H. Obama, Sr. is his father, and that person also a U.S. citizen at the time of Obozo's birth.....

Legal Weasel Words by the State of HI=>

Dr. Chiyome Fukino

-Obama’s original birth certificate on record in accordance with state policies and procedures.

It did not say that there was a birth certificate, it said that there was a "record" of a birth certificate....

That record was most likely a result of a "late filing" by Obozo's grandmother, without presenting a birth certificate. There is no hospital record of his birth in HI (it is very unlikely he was born in HI). There is no record of Barrack H. Obama, Sr. ever living with Stanley Ann Dunham in HI. The only way that Obama could be a Natural Born U.S. Citizen is if Barrack H. Obama, Sr is not his father.

Many have suggested that family friend Frank Marshall Davis was the father and that Barrack H. Obama only gave legitimacy to the birth. I am not convinced that Davis is his father, but it is possible. If Frank Marshall Davis is Obozo's father, he is a Natural Born U.S. Citizen and he is also a Commie B__tard! (just like "Commie" Frank Marshall Davis the admitted pedofile.)

Let's hope it is time for Exposure!

-

There is NO long form Birth Certificate for BHO in HI. None... Look at the dance the authorities have been doing to avoid admitting it.

Here is the statement by Dr. Chiyome Fukino, Director of the Health Department of the State of Hawaii:

"I ... have seen the original vital records maintained on file by the Hawaii State Department of Health verifying Barack Hussein Obama was born in Hawaii and is a natural-born American citizen," Health Director Dr. Chiyome Fukino said in a brief statement. "I have nothing further to add to this statement or my original statement issued in October 2008 over eight months ago."

(note- she said a "natural-born American citizen, NOT natural born United States Citizen.)

--

Dr. Chiyome Fukino, Hawaii State Health Director, has issued a second statement Monday, July 27th confirming President Barack Obama was born in Honolulu, HI.

“I, Dr. Chiyome Fukino, Director of the Hawaii State Department of Health, have seen the original vital records maintained on file by the Hawaii State Department of Health verifying Barrack Hussein Obama was born in Hawaii and is a natural-born American citizen.

(Note- she said American citizen, not a United States Citizen)

I have nothing further to add to this statement or my original statement issued in October 2008 over eight months ago,” Fukino said, in hopes of ending the controversy surrounding Obama’s citizenship.

Nowhere did she say that she had seen the original "birth certificate"

If he can’t be president, why has he given two State of the Union speeches? Reporting on the state of the union is an Article II requirement for a president.

Article II, Section 3: “State of the Union, Convening Congress”

He shall from time to time give to the Congress Information on the State of the Union, and recommend to their Consideration such Measures as he shall judge necessary and expedient; he may, on extraordinary Occasions, convene both Houses, or either of them, and in Case of Disagreement between them, with Respect to the Time of Adjournment, he may adjourn them to such Time as he shall think proper; he shall receive Ambassadors and other public Ministers; he shall take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed, and shall Commission all the Officers of the United States.

No Supreme Court decision, no law ever passed by Congress and no clause of the Constitution states that two citizen parents are required in order to be a natural born citizen.
If that were true, the current Supreme Court certainly would have agreed to hear at least one of the 12 appeals that have reached them challenging Obama’s eligibility.
The Supreme Court has denied them all without comment.

They were all suckered in by "The Big Lie". Their belief in their own intelligence, caused them to be big suckers and now they don't have the guts nor integrity to back off and reconsider;

in the big lie there is always a certain force of credibility; because the broad masses of a nation are always more easily corrupted in the deeper strata of their emotional nature than consciously or voluntarily; and thus in the primitive simplicity of their minds they more readily fall victims to the big lie than the small lie, since they themselves often tell small lies in little matters but would be ashamed to resort to large-scale falsehoods. It would never come into their heads to fabricate colossal untruths, and they would not believe that others could have the impudence to distort the truth so infamously. Even though the facts which prove this to be so may be brought clearly to their minds, they will still doubt and waver and will continue to think that there may be some other explanation. For the grossly impudent lie always leaves traces behind it, even after it has been nailed down, a fact which is known to all expert liars in this world and to all who conspire together in the art of lying.

Not true. Hawaii didn't release squat. They never said what Obama put on the Internet was issued by them.
