The F22 is 12 feet shorter than the old B-17.

Amen. And I was lucky enough to see one perform at the Chicago Air Show - it does things that just don’t look right - as though it was in a movie making Hollywood-tight turns and such, ignoring pysics. Just awesome

Indeed, the aircraft at the top looks to have been digitally enhanced or altered. Perhaps there is some detail around the engine nozzles that the AF doesn't want people to see?
