WikiLeaks cables: US agrees to tell Russia Britain's nuclear secrets
The Telegraph ^ | 9:25PM GMT 04 Feb 2011 | Matthew Moore, Gordon Rayner and Christopher Hope

The US secretly agreed to give the Russians sensitive information on Britain’s nuclear deterrent to persuade them to sign a key treaty, The Daily Telegraph can disclose.

Information about every Trident missile the US supplies to Britain will be given to Russia as part of an arms control deal signed by President Barack Obama next week.

Defence analysts claim the agreement risks undermining Britain’s policy of refusing to confirm the exact size of its nuclear arsenal.

what is more amazing is every day I sit there and think...well nothing will top this...and then WHAM...these idiots do something else that is completely startling...

The bail-outs don’t seem like that big of a deal anymore...they have done as much damage in 2.5 years as the Progressives had achieved in the previous 100.

And nothing will be done about these idiots in the future...

Amerca has the president it deserves with the last 3-4 idiot socialists that have been in the WhoreHouse.

We do have to pay the piper for what the past admin have done.

And we will have a chance to correct the direction of our republic. But we will see.

I also think that if ;laws were broken we should try all of them no matter how far back we go.

Well, a simple check of my posting history would prove otherwise.

I don’t get into espionage against my country. Maybe you do, though.

Selling out our best ally for the sake of mollifying his leftist base. Disgusting in the extreme and it compromises our national defense.

Lawyers/Constitutional Scholars please comment on the legal issues that may in play.

You don't think more than enough corruption has already been revealed without running the risk of starting a world war?

However, I'm going the high road and not accuse you of not being a conservative simply because we disagree. I am, however, going to question your judgment.

You're thanking God. You and I must serve different deities.

Could be. I don't have as much faith in Obama as you evidently do.

This is way beyond poor judgment...

You got that right. It is High Treason violating undoubtedly existing diplomatic requirements with Great Britain, and if he is telling them secrets about the UK, which he isn't supposed to do...just what do you think the traitor has told the Russians about our missile arsenal...that maybe none of the H-bombs are any longer viable without tritium (which the liberals never let us replace...we needed a new plant) and that we are essentially disarmed right now...

This just confirms that he is an enemy whose sole goal is to help restore global communism via Russia, China, and the islamic califate movement....

If the U.S. was nuked right now...you can bet every single dollar you have...that he would prevent any U.S. retaliation. The moment he was elected we lost all of our nuclear deterrent...and we have been at dire risk of being nuked....which only increases every day that the foreign enemies are strengthened in their understanding of his complicity with their schemes.

I read this as we undermined Britain against their wishes just to get a treaty with Russia.

No wonder Obama withheld the treaty work papers from the Senate. Will a Senator with the stones to do so file emergency legislation rescinding the treaty vote?

Funny how this translates into supposed Obama support. The leap of logic is staggering.

Look, we know Obama is clueless. We know he hasn't the faintest idea of how to conduct a foreign policy. I'm saying that espionage is a crime. What problem do you have with that?
