"Painful Conclusion": Senators Say FBI & DOD Could Have Prevented Ft. Hood Shooting
ABC News ^ | February 03, 2011 | Matthew Jaffe

A new Senate report on the 2009 Fort Hood shooting blames the FBI and Department of Defense for failing to recognize or act on alleged shooter Army Major Nidal Malik Hasan’s extremist views.

The report, released today by Senate Homeland Security Committee chairman Joe Lieberman and ranking Republican Susan Collins, says the FBI and DOD could have prevented the shooting if they had identified Hasan’s radical Islamist views and disciplined or discharged him before the attack occurred.

“Our report’s painful conclusion is that the Fort Hood massacre could have and should have been prevented,” Lieberman said at a press conference today.

“The fact is that both the FBI and the Army were aware of Major Hasan,” Collins said. “This is not a case where a lone wolf was unknown to the FBI, unknown to the military officials, until he struck – and that is the tragedy of this case.”

We can't say it was Obama's fault because that would be racist, so it must be George W. Bush's fault... again.

As usual, if it’s real info, the source is the BLOGS section. As though to hide it.

I’m surprised the Senate came to the conclusion we all did on DAY 1.

...bullbutter...

But now that the media blames the folks that supposedly “knew” about Hassan, and that apparently they are culpable in those murders committed by Hassan...

Then charges need to be filed now...Might as well get it over with...

But then again, if any of us espouse an “extremist” view anywhere in public, we need to be charged with a crime in accordance with the new Hassan “Misunderstood Muslim” Protection Act of 2011...

Might as well make it a crime, the way the media is portraying it...

You know, they are smarter than any of us.../sa.../sar...Oh, fugetaboutit!!!

Obama told us to not to rush to judgment when his fellow Muslim Hasan murdered 13 soldiers.

Fast forward to this week and Obama is rushing to judgment to get rid of Mubarek so his fellow Muslim Brotherhood can fill the vacuum.

Every conservative and patriotic American should make an oath to keep telling their fellow Americans that Obama is bad for America and needs to be defeated. (Preferably in the 2012 Democrat Primary)

I think the rest of the country came to the same conclusion a couple days after the murders, when his former classmates came forward saying the guy was a nut, and they had reported such to superiors.

Hassan was an isolated incident which in no way casts a shadow across the thousands of other peaceful Nazis now serving as sleeper agents in the US Military without having fired a single shot at fellow soldiers. Yet.

Today is a good day to die.
I didn't say for whom.

The DOD only had thousands of opportunities.

The fact is: THEY DO NOT CARE.

CONGRESS DOES NOT CARE.

My only comment is that at the very least, the Military Police on any US Base should be armed—again, one armed person could have taken this guy out before he did as much damage as he did.

The real sick part about all this is Hasan still has his rank and is recieving his pay......While LTC Lakin is in Leavenworth stripped of rank, pay, etc.

And a Dipstik could have prevented the ‘RATS’ “Miracle in Tuscon” if he had been doing his job instead of being out their shilling for DemocRATS and suing the State of Arizona for his illegal alien pals.
