Skip to comments."Painful Conclusion": Senators Say FBI & DOD Could Have Prevented Ft. Hood Shooting

A new Senate report on the 2009 Fort Hood shooting blames the FBI and Department of Defense for failing to recognize or act on alleged shooter Army Major Nidal Malik Hasans extremist views.
The report, released today by Senate Homeland Security Committee chairman Joe Lieberman and ranking Republican Susan Collins, says the FBI and DOD could have prevented the shooting if they had identified Hasans radical Islamist views and disciplined or discharged him before the attack occurred.
Our reports painful conclusion is that the Fort Hood massacre could have and should have been prevented, Lieberman said at a press conference today.
The fact is that both the FBI and the Army were aware of Major Hasan, Collins said. This is not a case where a lone wolf was unknown to the FBI, unknown to the military officials, until he struck and that is the tragedy of this case.

As usual, if it’s real info, the source is the BLOGS section. As though to hide it.
I’m surprised the Senate came to the conclusion we all did on DAY 1.
“...alleged shooter Army Major Nidal Malik Hasan...”
Let’s see now, who else could it have been???
No spit, Sherlock.
But now that the media blames the folks that supposedly “knew” about Hassan, and that apparently they are culpable in those murders committed by Hassan...
Then charges need to be filed now...Might as well get it over with...
But then again, if any of us espouse an “extremist” view anywhere in public, we need to be charged with a crime in accordance with the new Hassan “Misunderstood Muslim” Protection Act of 2011...
Might as well make it a crime, the way the media is portraying it...
You know, they are smarter than any of us.../sa.../sar...Oh, fugetaboutit!!!
...and how much money and time was spent to discover the obvious!
Obama told us to not to rush to judgment when his fellow Muslim Hasan murdered 13 soldiers.
Fast forward to this week and Obama is rushing to judgment to get rid of Mubarek so his fellow Muslim Brotherhood can fill the vacuum.
Every conservative and patriotic American should make an oath to keep telling their fellow Americans that Obama is bad for America and needs to be defeated. (Preferably in the 2012 Democrat Primary)
“Painful conclusion.....Political correctness kills”
I think the rest of the country came to the same conclusion a couple days after the murders, when his former classmates came forward saying the guy was a nut, and they had reported such to superiors.
My only comment to each and every senator is this: No sh*t, Sherlock!
The fact is: THEY DO NOT CARE.
CONGRESS DOES NOT CARE.

"Some of the nation's wealthiest and most powerful law firms have donated hundreds of
millions of dollars in free legal services to terror suspects at the Guantanamo Bay prison.
Their work, bolstered by left-wing activists groups, has helped to free, or force the
transfer, of hundreds of al Qaeda suspects to third countries. Some have gone back to
terrorism and the job of trying to kill Americans.
The work of big American law firms on behalf of al Qaeda is drawing new attention since
Attorney General Eric Holder decided this month that Khalid Sheik Mohammed, who
orchestrated the murder of over 3,000 9-11, is coming to New York City for trial. Holder

My only comment is that at the very least, the Military Police on any US Base should be armed—again, one armed person could have taken this guy out before he did as much damage as he did.
POLITICAL CORRECTNESS IS SUICIDE.
And a Dipstik could have prevented the ‘RATS’ “Miracle in Tuscon” if he had been doing his job instead of being out their shilling for DemocRATS and suing the State of Arizona for his illegal alien pals.
How did the steak turn out?
Blame game.. who would have guessed it from these cretans in control. They knew they had a problem and they ignored it because it wasnt politicalLy correct, so our fine men in women were purposley put in harms way, un protected when they should have felt secure in a secure place and put infront of a firing squad all for POLITICAL CORRECTNESS. SCUMBAGS!
