On February 9, the Lets Move! anniversary, the First Lady will deliver a major address focused specifically on the campaigns efforts to meet the needs of parents. Mrs. Obama will reach out to parents to commend them for the impact they have had on fundamentally shifting the conversation on childhood obesity this year. In a speech hosted by North Point Community Church and Ray of Hope Christian Church at North Points congregation in Alpharetta, Georgia, Mrs. Obama will share personal reflections about how she came to this issue, discuss the issues parents deal with, and what has been achieved together.
“Mrs. Obama will share personal reflections about how she came to this issue...”

...the United Nations World Health Organization (WHO)...
The WHO people like to keep their cushy jobs...they have “creative ideas” meetings.
Maybe Moochelle can discuss the ways she plans to get the junk out of her fatass trunk.
Michelle wants to be co-President so bad she is about to crap her pants.
The source should be North Point Community Church, not North Point Baptist...
Nevertheless, I am stunned... That would be a pretty conservative congregation, I don’t think this is going to go over well.
Her name is “Moochelle.”
I dunno. Isn’t she a sacred cow?
I don't know a polite way to say this, so I'll just say it. There are Baptist churches where the congregation is African American, and whether it's deserved or not, the Obama's are worshipped there.
Have a bar-b-q protest on the sidewalk out front.
Aco-ordinated pizza bomb.
Call every pizza joint that delivers to send pizza to the church about the time she is speaking.
“pizza here for a mrs Hillery Rodham.”
Your profile does not indicate what state you are from;
but by your post, I assume you are from Georgia.
Maybe you should try posting something on the Georgia message board:
Sacred Moosehips! Not the same thing at all.;-)
No, no, send barbecued Chicken! There was some problem about the fact that Michelle made a statement that she heard that Charlotte had great barbecue. So, send in the barbecued chicken.
Have you contacted local Tea Party folks? I’ll try to let our group on Tennessee know - they are well connected with tea party groups in north Georgia.
“That would be a pretty conservative congregation, I dont think this is going to go over well.”
Nope. They had a majority of their members vote for Obama.
I think the Dems/ libs are targeting the South. The DNC convention will be in No Carolina, now Michelle is going to Georgia. Get ready to protest down there.
Seriously?! How do you know this? FReepmail me if you like.
This is the Ronald Obama 2012 campaign, folks.
It is not a Baptist church (my mistake, I am a Baptist, just habit to type it). My son goes here - it is not an African American congregation.
It is a MEGA church.
I am actually in Florida, this is my son’s church. He is not very happy about this.
You do know the church, the pastor is indeed Charles Stanley’s son. I’m considering sending him an email. Shame on him.
I just posted on my FB - I expect to see a lot of upset friends on there.
I hope Stanley isn’t pulling a “Rick Warren”... sheesh.
Can this let’s move idea get any more assinine than it is already???? It’s LAUGHABLE!!!
YIKES she and husband are very conservative... I attended several times...was amazed that no American Flag or Christian Flag was displayed and seemed more rock style music service...don't know if it is the same...awaiting her reply..
Isn’t that Andy Stanley’s church?
We will also insist Rep John Lewis D GA-5th join to reflect with Michelle on their greatness . All deep in the heart of Milton.
Nice decision-making Andy! Way to lead!
How would you know the voting patterns of North Point members.
Everyone I know who belongs is quite conservative. However, I will concede NPCC has a large young population (20 somethings). Also, perhaps NPCC members fell for the hopey changey, can’t we all get along, kumbaya stuff.
Sorry to the original poster, I just can’t bring myself to be that close to Michelle. Not even for a protest.
“How would you know the voting patterns of North Point members.”
Top level staff person told me - and that’s all I can say.
I’m surprised I always thought that congregation was pretty conservative.
I just sent an email to the Community church who is sponsoring this and asked for a response back...will see what happens...
I'm an ‘old’ has been hairdresser and I can still remember on the first day of beauty school in Ohio...darn its 50 years already...the professor who taught us our business law class...First words out of his mouth...was ‘as a hairdresser NEVER get into a discussion with your clients regarding RELIGION OR POLITICS!!!!!!!
CAN NOT BELIEVE A CHURCH CAN DO THAT AND STAY TAX FREE...I HOPE THIS GETS INVESTIGATED.
I can’t give names.
Take it for what it’s worth.
Exactly how does one “have” their members vote for Obama?
Like I said, my husband and I know many couples who go to church there, who are very conservative and very outspoken *against* Obama (minus 1, who is a college professor...).
If there was some push to vote for Obama, we would have heard about it.
But having said that, Stanley has jumped the shark on this one.
The line of BULLSH*T they are trying to feed us?
That Meechelle and Barry-Hussein are CHRISTIANS.
Or, "Candy-gram for Mongo".
No one at that church can tell you who the majority of its members voted for in the last presidential election. Anyone who claims to be able to do that is lying.
“Exactly how does one have their members vote for Obama?”
You misread my statement.
They “had” many of their members vote for Obama like one “has” something bad happen to them. I.E. I “had” my my cows get out of the fence.
To my knowledge there was no pro-Obama push.
That’s on a Wednesday. What time will she be there? And why is she allowed to campaign in a church?
“OK...I don’t believe you and neither should anyone reading this thread.”
I told you what I know. I can’t say who told me, but the person would FOR SURE know. I’m not a journalist, so I don’t have to source. Sorry.
Like I said, take it for what it’s worth and see if it lines up with future data (like, say, inviting Michelle to speak etc.)
Okay, yes I did misread that.
Out of a church of about 20,000 people, I’m sure that a few did vote for Obama.
If Moochelle really wanted to do something about obesity, she would tell her husband to stop giving food stamps to fat people.
A majority did.
Wow, so your friend talked to like 20-something thousand people to find out how they voted.
(4th largest church in the US - http://churchrelevance.com/100-largest-churches-in-america-for-2009/ )
The person who told me this would know.
Do you think it is possible that a majority at Saddleback voted for Obama? Especially given that their Pastor gave the invocation at the inauguration?
The megachurches I am familiar with are not soundly conservative.
No they wouldn't.
No person at any church, including the pastor or any staff member, would know how the members of a church voted in an election. The notion is absurd.
