MASON, OHIO - A gym teacher has been charged with having sex with five of her underaged students.
Stacy Shuler, a 32-year-old high school gym teacher at Mason High School, had sexual relations with five students over the same number of months from August to December. Most of them were football players at the school.
Shuler, whose duties included working as an athletic trainer for the school's girls and boys sports teams, also bought them alcohol.
A school spokesperson said that the teacher was placed under investigation after an anonymous tip to school officials.
If convicted, Shuler could face up to 81 years in jail if she is convicted of having sexual relations with underaged persons.

A lot of these cases are quite difficult, as a person, after being caught with their hand in the cookie jar (or maybe with their hand on the cookie jar, in these cases) are not exactly dressed in their Sunday Best. So, I try to temper my judgment here and think about the “whole teacher” (to borrow a little new-age teacher lingo) and not just this snapshot that we see at the time of arrest.
So, given that, even though she looks a bit overweight (but not much), I’ll have to pronounce her NOT GUILTY. Although it is close, I would say the boys did well here.
Shuler could face all of ten minutes in detention, and get a brisk slap on the wrist if she is convicted of having sexual relations with underaged persons.
Men serving ten plus years for such infractions did not return calls that were never made, asking if they wanted to make a comment.

All at the same time. Oh wait, that’s just the way I remember her, like it was yesterday, her first year of teaching, I was a high school freshman...

Dropped 125 lb. over the last few years. I’m back up around 250, but I have no intentions to get back to that weight.
Being alcohol-free helps.
