A TSA supervisor stole money from passengers who went through his security checkpoint and accepted bribes and kickbacks from a colleague. Michael Arato, a supervisor at Newark Liberty Airport, admitted on Monday that he regularly took money from passengers during security screenings and deliberately targeted foreigners who could not speak much English. The 41-year-old, from Ewing, admitted in federal court that he permitted a worker he supervised to steal $10,000 to $30,000 in cash from traveller's bags over a 13-month period.

Feeling up passengers and physically molesting them isn’t enough for TSA scum. They also steal their money.
Expect the usual idiots to say getting their money stolen is a necessary price passengers have to pay to keep them safe from terrorists.
And now they will have a Union to protect them and no doubt will be allowed to steal a certain amount before any action. Just like the longshoremen before them..they will get a cut of everything that goes by them.
I’m sure this is being reported in the foreign press because foreigners are being targeted first.
That’s why it was such a bad idea to make this tedious job a regular full-time career.
As a parttime or temporary situation, people end up moving on to other jobs before they can figure out how to rip off the passengers and more importantly before they know exactly how they are being observed and who they can trust not to snitch on them.
As a career, and now in a union-protected professional position, you got to see more of this- and the “solution” will be to hire still another group of government employees to keep this first group honest.
This must be in Mexico or Myanmar or Belarus, right? No?
Hey, lets unionize the TSA. That should end the corruption, for sure. Right? No?
Lock them in stocks right after the feel good stations. I am sure some of the people who were felt up for no reason will appreciate that.
