I just don’t understand how a proud, bright, educated people like the citizens of Iran continue to allow themselves to be ruled over by a bunch of primitive, knuckle-dragging, 6th century Neanderthals like the mullahs. I don’t get it.

I don’t get it. As the article mentions, 70% of them are under 30, meaning, they weren't around to be consulted when Jimmah threw the Shah under the bus.

The Shah fell when the army refused to continue to back him. That took away his supply of guns.
You asked why the people of Iran are ruled by these thugs, I told you. Sorry if you don't like the answer. Don't expect anything to change as long as the army supports the mullahs.
If you have a better idea quickly inform the demonstrators. Even if you have to fly to Tehran to do it.
