"The committee determined the measure violated House rules against members "legislating" on appropriations bills. However, a committee member reminded Rep. King that he has "lots of other opportunities" to offer a similar amendment to other bills this year."
You are right and I don’t think anyone is exploding but this is an indication that the heat needs to be increased. I will be ‘exploding’ (sounding like it) on the phone with the various committee members.
Thank you for inserting some common sense.
How would that be different from anything else the GOP is looking to defund in their budget? I mean $100B in seven months has to put an end to more than a few programs.
I am not exploding, but honestly, that quote does nothing to reassure me : / It sounds as if we are being patted on the head, and told not to worry our little selves, that they will get to it in their own good time...
Next post - names and the Rules Committee phone number - they need reminding that there is no time like the present ; }
This is just bullshit for you can appeal (to deaf ears).
Are all those other bills "must pass" as this one is? Don't think so and they will be promptly veto. Meanwhile the spending on OC continues and its provisions metastasize big-time and wrap it's socialist tentacles in every facet of our economy. If they don't do it now, it will never be done. It's kick the can time again for the RINOs.

In other words, kick the can down the road and p!ss on the mandate of the voters!....and, Judge Vinson's ruling!
So what? The GOP can make the House rules. Obamacare was brought in with parliamentary tricks, it could be destroyed the same way. Wake up, the GOP is trying to keep us on the plantation as well.
We have GOT to stop this “shoot first, ask questions later” mentality.
It’s totally understandable (and I am guilty myself) but we’re just blowing up at everything these days.
Once you see the facts, it isn’t as bad as it seems. Sure, we have to keep the heat on (and slowly turn it up) but let’s save our fury for where it’s needed.
During the current discussion on the floor, each representative begins his remarks with, “I move to strike the last word.” Does anyone know what that means in this context?
