These teachers may not have a clue how something like this can impact the kids they supposedly “care about”.

Perhaps I'm jaded, but I think they know. "It's for the children" is nothing but a phrase that gets the union fascists what they want.

Any teacher who would spit on the window of a bus containing children makes it quite plain that he concern is in no way for those children, but only for himself and what makes him feel good. You experienced a perfect metaphor for the teacher's union relationship to the children who are daily put in their care.

Of course the teachers selfish desires come before the children they are supposed to be educating. All hail the unions which will be the ruin of this country. They should be ashamed of themselves. Free health care, lavish pensions, and all the Viagra they can stand. Their behavior is disgusting.

Dereliction of duty. Fire the teachers and the senators.

Parents, get off your *sses and track them down. I don’t care if it’s at the gas station or grocery store.

ID them as well, vid on your phone. Start an ID blog.

Find out who’s paying, besides yourselves, for every facet of this.

They’re coming to my state next... I have bail money, legislation, state constitution cites, salaries, parent call lists and inside work knowledge.

It may not work... but they’ll get a fight.

600 of the 5,400 teachers

If that is an indication of the depth of support among union members, it is a good sign.

There were 25 to 30 kids in my elementary thru high school classes.

I went to Catholic school and in 8th grade we had 60 kids in our class. We had a very dedicated strict Nun who lived her teaching - stayed after school every night and tutored. She had a small group once a week of kids who were taught pre-Algebra on the side after school. Somehow we all survived. . . I'll never forget how dedicated those Nuns were. . and Thank God for them now. .

Time for an unusually high number of pink slips issued.

Sounds good to me.

Exit interview question: Did you ever contemplate what you would do in your working job now?? Point of info, since you were fired for cause, we have put you on the list of not eligible for unemployment insurance, you chose this path.

Good bye

Poor students will be denied the opportunity to be propagandized.

Don’t schools have to run a specific number of days each year?

Yes, but they can just use one of the 'snow days' since Global Warming Experts have stated that there won't be any more snow.

Teaching use to be a profession of compassion for your work.

Today it seems its all about money. Fine, WORK like all the rest of us who don't get union entitlement programs payed by the taxpayer!

Haven't these TEACHERS realized they are part of the problem not the solution? They are one of the common denominators in turning our Country into a Socialistic Country. Of course, they are on the receiving end of the wealth distribution.....or at least their beloved LEADERS are.

rant/off

Is he “sticking to his guns” or is he going wobbly? I haven’t seen anything on what his attitude is. I hope he gives them hell!

Yes, I have contacted his office. Been in contact with my Republican senator Grothman’s staff - they spent the night IN the capital building. Like you, I also would encourage any and all Wisconsin folks to contact their rep, both Dem and Rep. and encourage them to support Walker’s budget initiatives. Use this link for Wisconsin.

Shame on the Dems for running out of the state. Shame on the teachers for putting themselves first, rather than the kids. oh wait.... It’s for the children. My foot, it is.

You make a good point that needs to be repeated. There are a lot of conservative teachers who are shouted down by the thug teachers in the union.

600 out of 5400 kinda shows that 10% of the teachers are the radical activists.

How are they going to get their free breakfast and lunch if the schools are closed?
