Stripped, punched and whipped with flag poles: Full horror of Lara Logan's attack emerges
Daily Mail ^ | 02/20/11

According to one source, reported in The Sunday Times newspaper, sensitive parts of her body were covered in red marks that were originally thought to have been bite marks.

After further examination they were revealed to be from aggressive pinching.

And medical sources have revealed  that marks on her body were consistent with being whipped and beaten with the makeshift poles that were used to fly flags during the demonstration.

Lest it be forgotten, the savage nature of this attack is, at least in part, because she is being attacked as a symbol of the West and all that it stands for socially and culturally. Sometimes it seems the wrong battle is being fought and there is focus mainly on either the personal or political when the actual fissure is cultural and social more than governmental. I believe Thomas Paine made a big point of the difference between Government and Society.

'Wow- I wonder what Religious types could have been responsible for this? The Religion of Peace?'

Nope, it's the Rape of the Peaceful

that is the EXACT manifesto of the stinking muslim fanactics ...that women are to blame for being attacked because its only NATURAL for men to attack and rape women..

That's not what WestwardHo was saying.

WestwardHo was saying that the societies over there are evil, primitive, dangerous places, and only a fool would put herself in that kind of danger.

And the notion that individuals or news organizations can impose civilization upon thousands of rioting Neanderthals and somehow protect their news-people is nuts. What was CBS supposed to do, go in with tanks?

It wasn't the blond uncovered hair, at least not just that. Here is a piece by a black woman reporter from the UK who was accosted along the same lines there, but managed to escape. She was wearing jeans, 'baggy' long sleeves and a cap covering her hair. Also reports on Logan's attack suggest it was MUCH worse than even this piece suggest. She wasn't just gang raped and beaten, she was severely tortured. It makes me concerned whether she can recover psychologically from this.

Uhh, news flash! She was in a crowd of stinking muslim fanactics. Why the surprise that they acted like stinking muslim fanactics?

The only cure for islam is a full dose of U-235 at critical mass.

There are some things worth saving in Egypt, that mankind would miss. Sadly many of the people fall low on that list. Bringing back the neutron bomb might be a better modern solution. Still we must remember Egypt is still about 10% Coptic so it doesn't yet fail the criteria justifying blasting Soddom and Gomorrah. Other old testament responses may be justified. Egypt would be wise to recall some of them.

don’t waste your breath...for some reason unfathomable to me...blaming Logan or even being gleeful over her assault is ignored by those here who make such degerminations

it’s shameful and reflects every bit as poorly as the phantom racism and antisemitism which does get instant zotting here real or imagined

rather subjective is an understatement

right now antifreepers everywhere are making hay over these crude terse comments which have been allowed to stand

these asshats are lucky i dont control their posting privileges..

The reporter gets manhandled by Moose and refuses to tell about it. That is biased coverage.

I don’t get why pointing out the stupidity inherent in her even being there is such a terrible thing. No doubt that the mob of crazed Muslims gets the vast bulk of the blame, but there is a huge dose of willful cluelessness by Logan that puts her in for some part of having caused what happened. I don’t get why some FReepers get so agitated by the pointing out of the personal responsibility aspect of all this. There are places sensible people don’t go. I bet we won’t find you, or most FReepers, hanging out on the street corner with the late-night liquor store with the Plexiglas cashier’s cage on payday Friday at 11PM.

While I’m sure there have been plenty of objectionable comments on Logan, you haven’t made a case as to why Benchim’s is over the top.

She was running around over there in their culture with her head uncovered.

And, by mideast standards, a way too low neckline.

From my experience, I can't imagine any Western woman being in Egypt during a riot and not knowing she was in extreme danger. Lara had spent a lot of time in the Middle East. She shouldn't have been outside at all. Look again, at the news photos...no women, not even in burkas. I guess Lara thought she was invincible. Very foolish, indeed.

One simple reason why she was there: it is her JOB to accept risk in order to get the story. She gets paid EXTREMELY well to be there in dangerous environments in front of a camera. More than a high-rise construction worker, more than a coal miner, more than an inner-city cop, more than a soldier.

If she wasn't willing to go where the story is, regardless of risk, then she would be out of a job.

You show the ideal Dhimmi attitude that the jihad nazis attempt to insert into Western thinking.

“It was my fault, for offending the insane murder cult.”

No, it’s the fault of the insane cult when humans are attacked by savages.

And she probably had a false sense of security from being surrounded by a dozen or so camera people, gophers and security men.

But in the mass mob, her dozen protectors were swept away like dust, leaving her alone.

The US media will never report the horror that Logan went through in Cairo.

Don't kid yourself. I'm sure that several crime-drama shows, if not a Hollywood production movie will exploit this scene - it has the key ingredients needed to make it a ratings hit: nudity, sex and violence.

It probably goes without saying that the perps, like in the last Clancy movie, will be changed from Arabs to skin heads and Russian mafia - maybe even the Left's demented fantasy about Tea Partiers.

“I have little sympathy. She was running around over there in their culture with her head uncovered. That means she is a prostitute in the moslem world. Come home and do the weather channel.”

I agree with your statement above.

“She should sue somebody for letting her go into the Tahrir square with 100% men, over heated by Sahria state possibilities. Who let her do that?”

No one tied her up and forced her to go to Tahrir Square. She went on her own. She had the option to quit her job if they tried to force her to go.

Stupid is what stupid does.

Welcome to Islam. I doubt the media will realize this is just the start. If they get their wish there will be worse treatment from their Islamic masters. Much worse.
