Wisconsin Doctors Probed for Fake Sick Notes
Jeanne Rose – 2 hrs 14 mins ago

The debate over the Wisconsin budget has been going on for over a week now, and it does not seem to be letting up anytime soon. Just when you thought things were bad with the protests, which led to the closing of many schools, there is another twist to the case.

Fox News reports that the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health has launched an investigation into whether some of their doctors issued fake sick notes to protesters. The demonstrations are against the Wisconsin budget repair bill, which will limit the powers of unions' collective bargaining agreement. The schools were adamant that teachers who called off work must provide a sick note to prove they were actually sick. In order to stay within the guidelines of their employer, the protesters will need a doctor's note, but doctors could face trouble for handing out these fake sick notes.

The effect of allegations of fake sick notes, if proved true, will have a negative impact on practitioners in the state. The allegation that doctors are handing out fake sick notes is huge, and could greatly affect the respect people in the state have for the doctors. The Atlantic reports that not only can it make people distrust doctors within the state, it can also put the doctors' integrity into question. The doctors might also be in trouble with the medical board for writing these notes, and could potentially face fraud charges.

In order to get a sick note, you should have to prove that you are sick; by the doctors going around and just handing these notes out, it seems like they are siding with the unions and not the people.

...you should have to prove that you are sick...

Just when you think being a leftist thug isn't enough. Now you have to prove it.

Every effort should be expended to ID the doctors involved and their license to practice revoked.

These are the same scum who would be scamming all of us under ObominationCare with false billing.

Any public union scum who uses one of these false documents should be fired immediately.

Of course they did.

It's just a question of how many gallons of Whitewash it's going to take for UW to "fix" it.

Jeanne Rose should get out more or watch Fox News if that is the best she can do 'reporting' on this.

Sure doesn’t sound to me like a whole lot of doctors were involved in Sick-note-gate. But the few that were, probably were flakes (such as the lez abortion pusher Oriel) that the medical society was already, pardon the pun, sick of. This will nail their (figurative) coffins shut.

I have a feeling with the videos Fox has about wat they were dong that there are a few lefty Doctors who will be in trouble and possibly have their licenses suspended for a while. That shoud teach them that their profession and politics should NOT mix.IIRC a suspension will follow you forever and make your insurace more expensive.I bet these doctors will live to rgret doing this!

Cynics can have their opinions, but the real value of DOCTORGATE is the damage it’s doing to the perception of Liberals and Democrats in the minds of Independent fair-minded voters who do not condone this kind of crap. Just like the Dems On The Run stunt, this paints them ad fringe element loons (which is exactly what they are) and that’s not what the Independents who helped Obama win are going to vote for.

Just remember there are impacts at more than the literal level of what happens to the doctors who wrote the fake notes. The smart thing would probably be to toss all of their medical licenses into the wood-chipper right now and force the story to die. But the authorities won’t do that, and thus the story will continue to show more and more people who they really are and what lies and deception they will resort to out of pure liberal ideology.

Liberalism is a mental illness, so the notes might be legit after all.

The re-release of Dr. Zhivago should be required viewing for any nitwit doctor who wants to further Marxist causes.

This pleasantly surprises me. I would expect any university to be actively involved in covering up this sort of wrongdoing. The end justifies the means for most Universities—at least in political matters.

If these people are real doctors, they should lose their licenses. If they’re not real doctors, they should be arrested for fraud.

I have been a Doctor for 47 years. Perhaps I am getting too old but if these guys are Docs, the license should go. Where is the exam, where is the followup? In my opinion, they are worthless punks. I gave up my license when I retired so I would not even be tempted.

When I first moved to this part of town, I did not have a doctor yet. I got sick with some kind of flu, and needed to find a doctor to go to ( not for a note, but for treatment )I found up uptown here. When he came into my room, the first words out of his mouth were, “How many days off of work do you need?”... he did not even look at me, had his back to me, and a pad of paper in his hands. I told him, “Doc, I am really sick.”...he turned around in amazement, and actually started to act like a doctor ( ps. there was a ford plant less than 2 miles away )...

Should be an alarm bell regarding government sponsored health care lest anybody should think that no Doctors would stoop to use their credentials in a political way.
