CALLER: -- and it will happen or something worse than that will happen. But, anyway, Rahm didn't have any problem in the financing area. Politico reports he raised $10.6 million in individual contributions, most of them big-ticket contributions of a hundred thousand or more. And just coincidentally, these were all made just before the deadline, before campaign finance rules took effect limiting contributions to 5K. That went into effect January the 1st. Notable among the contributors was a man who appeared at CPAC the week before last, and in a very carefully delivered speech from handwritten notes gave the impression he was a conservative. I'm referring to The Donald, Mr. Trump.

I agree, it was sad to listen to Rush’s weak defense of Trump.
Someone posted something here today that claimed Trump gives the majority of his campaign money to democrats.

Trump is a shill, IMO. He’s a RINO, at best, and a Liberal, at worst. Do NOT underestimate the Progressives and their aims. They will plant a “looker” under the guise of Conservativism, but the “doer” aspect will be completely missing.
Trump is an empty suit.

It was very obvious and it made me a little queasy. I figured that he must have a personal relationship with Trump. A few minutes later, he hinted at that.

Very articulate and informed caller. As Rush says his is the most tightly screened show on radio. If they let him on they must have wanted this information spread.
When the caller nailed Trump for donating to Rahm and Blago Rush said so what???? Its the cost of doing business in Chicago or something. F that!! Why arent principles the same for Evey body Rush???
This should not be news to anyone. He’s a New Yorker. They are ‘broad minded’.
I’m more worried about his theories on economics and limited government than I am about anyones sexual
proclivities. Just don’t scare the horses.
I partially posted this to let Rush know what we thought of the session with this caller. His folks troll FR for news and info.
I suspect that Trump has far too many skeletons in his closet to run for anything, least of all president. I wouldn’t worry about him. It’s just free publicity.
I heard rush today and he was really weak with his comebacks. That guy nailed Donald, all rush could say is he had a Axe to grind and lost money at a casino. that guy pawned rush and Donald so bad and so fast. I really enjoyed the caller. but as a 24/7 rush person, you can’t be right all the time. thanks for posting.
That didn’t bother me at all, hiring a musician because of his musical talent doesn’t mean he has to agree with his political philosophy...defending a deceitful RINO just because he is a personal friend was disturbing.
It looks like they let Trump come up so he could pimp the golf teevee show.
