>> Lets create the most chaos and the highest level of anxiety in a district where teachers are already under unbelievable stress. Now I know how the United States State Department felt on Dec. 7 , 1941.
Oh, pleeze.
Where’s my tiny little violin? I know it’s around here somewhere.
My teacher told me it was the Germans.
Public schools should be dumped altogether. Private and homeschooling should be the norm, along with doing away with any requirement that a child be educated.
I thought unions always preferred their people to lose their jobs over losing their bargaining rights or having even a minor reduction in benefits!
I say well done! Fire the lot of them.
How long will it take for the Community Organizer in the WH to send his goons to Providence?
Weren’t all the teachers in one school fired and then rehired.
This all show and no go is laughable.
Just like the fired teachers in D.C......the Court demanded they get all their back pay for the time they weren’t working.
Look for the union label on a Court near you.
After all, the union label is already on the medical centers as we saw in Madison.
“””We are forced to take this precautionary action by the March 1 deadline given the dire budget outline for the 2011-2012 school year in which we are projecting a near $40 million deficit for the district, “”
_____
Sounds like an appropriate action given a $40 million budget deficit with 1,926 teachers.
In our school district we have 2,800 teachers and a budget deficit of $15 million.
It seems timely that Providence take action to get the finances in order.
Considering the number of towns named “Providence” in the US, it’s a good idea to have the state name among the keywords, if not in the title.
Say teacher contracts have to be given out by the administration on March 1 and returned by the teachers by March 15.
If the school budget hasn't been voted on yet and there are questions if it will pass as such, the school district may give out pink slips instead of contracts, with the understanding that contracts will be provided when the budget situation becomes clearer.
This situation may not be that unusual.
Good. I wish more school districts would start to play hard ball with these teacher unions.
Our school distract pulled a strike. They totally got away with it. They’re so overpaid here in NYS, it’s pathetic.
Lets create the most chaos and the highest level of anxiety in a district where teachers are already under unbelievable stress. Now I know how the United States State Department felt on Dec. 7 , 1941. That was the day the Japanese government bombed Pearl Harbor.”
You know, just that statement makes me hate this guy.
Over 2,400 people died in Pearl Harbor, but this socialist worm won't identify with the likes of them. Oh, no. Maybe he thinks Hillary Clinton was Secretary of State back then.
You can't fight people like this with words. They'll win every time because what they say is so insane that there's no rational response. Eventually America will realize this, then the fun will really start.
Oh please. This Socialist scum doesn't have a CLUE what real war and combat entail.
Having to cough up a few more bucks for your own health insurance isn't the same as Pearl Harbor!
It’s always a good day in America when Socialists are crying.
My, MY, there is a downside to collective bargaining - collective firing!
I remember when people felt sympathy for teachers when I was a kid because their wages weren't all that good.
I agree that teaching is a tough job (I was a teacher for a few years).
But when teachers are making 1 1/2 or double what the average citizen that is paying taxes to pay them.....it's hard to muster up sympathy for them. Especially when they ask union thugs to help out.
Bye bye now teach!
