Well its that time of year when all of the rich leftists in Hollywood get out their $40,000 dollar gowns, put on their millions in jewelry, climb into their limos, and head up to the Kodak Theater to pat themselves on the back for being working class heroes. I couldnt care less about which picture or actor gets a trophy, I just love listening to the political correctness and monumental hubris on display for the world to see.
This year I have decided to add my own category. The category is: Which liberal cause will come up most often during the evening. And the nominees are:
Republicans Destroying Unions: Starring: The State of Wisconsin, Screenplay by John Trumka and Mitch Stewart. I predict that at least three people will mention how they stand in solidarity with the government workers in Wisconsin, and around the world. Forget the fact that the Screen Actors Guild and AFTRA, the two largest performers unions, dont allow their poorer members access to the union health care plan or pension at any price. Multimillionaire union actors will stand with their brothers and sisters who are being asked to fork over a few bucks for their lavish benefit packages. As we already know, SAG has been drumbeating for the folks protesting in Wisconsin already! I love how my unions spend my money on causes with which I dont agree, but Im getting off the subject.

Well . . . Colin Firth (better known as Mr. Darcy, wink, wink) . . . of course he should win!!
Gay marriage no doubt. Unions aren’t elitist enough for this crowd.
Faggotry always gets a big hand in Hollywoody.
Ya, when that movie about lesbian parents wins something, that will set up a political statement about same-sex marriage, Obama’s recen decision not to defend the Defense of Marriage Act in court, etc.
One of the finest documentaries will be snubbed.
“Waiting for Superman” is a sad commentary on the eroded U.S. public school system.
I don’t believe it received a nomination.
Haven’t watched this swill in many years. The sight of these rich, self-absorbed libtards parading around on stage kissing each other’s @sses and spouting out their moronic nonsense would cause me to throw up, so I avoid it.
Nothing bores me more than listening to people who make money pretending they are someone else, spouting off about their politics.
The scene of families at the lotteries at the end of “Waiting for Superman” was just heartbreaking, one of the greatest scenes in cinema. . .winning those school lotteries truly is winning at the lottery of life. .. great documentary, I agree. . .
This stuff has been going on forever. Remember when Marlon Brando had Sasheen Little Feather go up and get his oscar? She had some drivel statement about the Indians. It never ends.
Agreed. Excellent movie.
Don’t know about the cause, but clearly the movie about the lesbian couple and the sperm donor or whatever it is will get the Best Picture award - no contest.....
No bigger minority then the Jewish people. Although extremely successful they still classify as a minority vastly lower in population then the whiner class of whom we all know.Vastly lower then any I can even name.
Some people look at life as a challenge. Others look at it as a burden. Even super successful blacks in Hollywood whine. Hello Spike Lee.
Unions. Barf.
That is always a downside of the award ceremony for me. Some years there is nothing & some years just terrible out of place comments.
I dont think receiving the award gives one the grandstand to vary from the movie mentality. Clearly many don’t agree
The “Union” moment just happened, that’s the stupid leftist arse crap so far. From the winners oin the Sound category.
But, on the bright side, the lesbian film didn’t win.
True! I was happy to see The Kings Speech win. It was great movie.
