Regional war could spark "unprecedented climate change," experts predict.
Even a regional nuclear war could spark "unprecedented" global cooling and reduce rainfall for years, according to U.S. government computer models.
Widespread famine and disease would likely follow, experts speculate.
Earth is currently in a long-term warming trend. After a regional nuclear war, though, average global temperatures would drop by 2.25 degrees F (1.25 degrees C) for two to three years afterward, the models suggest.

That’s a good idea, but I’d rather have global warming.

<tin-foil-hat mode> Of course, you know that this means (especially in conjunction with Teh One's pronouncement that "the nation can absorb a nuclear attack") that someone is planning on letting the US get hit with a few nukes, in order to allow the imposition of Martial Law and suspension of civil rights and of elections, and also, to provide cover for the solar minimum / weaker solar maximum induced cooling, so that they can claim global warming would still be going on except for the nuke.</tin-foil-hat mode>
Cheers!

The “elite” ...trying to talk themselves into “justifiable” use of nuclear weaponry.
They’re freakin’ nuts.

Mr. President, I'm not saying we wouldn't get our hair mussed. But I do say no more than ten to twenty million killed, tops. Uh, depending on the breaks. Plus we'd reverse global warming!

"The elite ...trying to talk themselves into justifiable use of nuclear weaponry. Theyre freakin nuts." We already have the example of the University of Texas "evolutionary ecologist," Dr Eric R. Pianka fantasizing over an airborne strain of the ebola virus. They think it would be great if they could somehow eliminate 90% of the human population. Unfortunately, a virus isn't quite discriminating enough - the elites might catch it too. But hey! small nukes could fill the bill. I wouldn't be surprised if they push for the return of the neutron bomb to facility their projects.
You're right, they're nuts and they have control right now.
