Eric Holder: Black Panther Party Case Focus demeans "my people."
Politico ^ | March 1, 2011

Attorney General Eric Holder finally got fed up with claims that the Justice Department went easy in a voting rights case against members of the Black Panther Party because they are African American. Holder's frustration became evident during a House Appropriations hearing when Rep. John Culbertson (R-Texas) accused the Justice Department of failing to cooperate with a Civil Rights Commission investigation into the handling of the 2008 incident in which Black Panthers in intimidating outfits and wielding clubs stood outside a polling place in Philadelphia. Holder seemed to take personal offense at a comment Culbertson read in which a Democratic activist called the incident the most serious act of voter intimidation he had witnessed in his career.

One can only imagine the furor and indignation if a white politician had defended "my people" in a case of egregious racial intimidation of blacks at a polling place. But Holder's pattern of selective justice goes far back - even beyond those days when his confirmaion hearings raised the question of why he gave a free pass to fugitive swindler Marc Rich. We now have new criteria for law enforcement at Justice: it all depends on how much we like your politics. You can take the boys out of Chicago but you can't take Chicago out of the boys.

Well Mr. Holder, a handful of “your people” who acted lower than a wart on a grasshopper’s toenail has been given a grand pass by you. If you don’t get the public indignation, you aren’t just tone deaf, you’re just plain deaf.

Holder is a disgrace to his position which he has betrayed. His “people” are supposed to be Americans who deserve equal protection. He has failed in an epic fashion.

I get the connection to “my people”, and there are circumstances where the emotional locution is acceptable and meaningful, but for the Country’s attorney to engage and apply such personal matters on behalf of the citizens and the Constitution is an injustice to the office he’s been appointed.

I had heard something just briefly on the local radio about Holder’s statement. But I had assumed at the time that “my people” was a reference to the people who work at the Justice Department - i.e. Holder was defending his department.

I certainly got that one wrong. /obvious.

From the article: “’I would disagree very vehemently with the notion that there’s overwhelming evidence that that is in fact true,’ Holder replied.”

He didn’t “disagree very vehemently” that “this,” i.e., that race had infected the decision-making process (”There’s clearly evidence, overwhelming evidence, that your Department of Justice refuses to protect the rights of anybody other than African Americans to vote.”) was true. He “disagree[d] very vehemently with the notion that there’s overwhelming evidence” that such racism on his part was true.

Holder may be a racist POS, but he’s not an idiot, so his parsing here was certainly intentional. Thus, he’s not arguing that the DOJ’s actions aren’t racist, but rather that there isn’t enough evidence that they are.

Wow, sounds like someone playing CYA, doesn’t it?

Holder’s record and his selective inaction, compounded by those remarks identifying “his people”, at the very least should illicit calls for his resignation from members of the GOP.

Holder’s classless and amateurish remarks are further evidence that B.Hussein Soetoro’s is the least prepared, least mature, and least competent administration this nation has ever seen. They cannot seem to avoid embarrassing themselves almost daily. Its to the point where Soetoro’s administration is an embarrassment on a global scale. How far respect for this great nation has fallen under Barry.

How come nobody ever gets up in their faces and tells the truth?

Leftards used to say “speaking truth to power” just before they started lying their butts off; isn’t there anyone not on the left who has the stones to disagree with a despicable lying scoundrel?

What, are they all afraid he’ll send hit men around?

Isn’t the implication that “his people” are different from “other people”? How on earth can the head of the justice department get away with making such a distinction?! Apparently justice is not blind in the Soetoro administration.

It’s all about the melanometrics.

Odd that both Obama and Holder are half 'white' and half a mixture of other races.

Holder's People and how they are captured at a polling place:

Well, we know that Holder's people aren't anyone who wanted to vote against obama.

A bizarre, yet frightening, piece of honesty.

it is contradictory but i think the self ambiguity is the source of their resentment

sorta like how so many Nazis were homosexuals

low self esteem....resentful of whites who don't really accept them...and most blacks. either

truth be known....the vanguard of black liberationists are mulattoes

Didn’t the Department of Justice change their logo and slogan just 6 months ago?

This socialist, globalist progressive administration shows more hatred for the Founding Fathers and the links to English law. Founding Fathers believed in “Laws of Nature and Nature’s God”.

So what is the new DoJ slogan? “The common law is the will of mankind issuing from the life of the people”. Of course “God” had to be removed by the socialists.

The old DoJ motif was the American Flag as the backdrop with a full-color emblem of a full-color American Eagle carrying a full-color US Flag.

So what is the new DoJ motif? A all-black background with an all-gold emblem of a gold American Eagle carrying a gold US Flag.

Not that there is anything to read into that.. Just sayin..
