Dan Rather: “False, but accurate”, as though something that is false, a lie, can be accurate.

I thought the Rather quote was “fake, but accurate.” Still the same in the end.

Let’s all remember it was Freeper Buckhead who nailed Dan Rather~!
It may have been the start of the end of the liberal media.

I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt and assume he forgot what “truth” means. He meant to say that he was fired because of an “uncomfortable lie.” Who can blame him for being surprised and bitter; since when can’t network news lie about presidents? [scoff!]

They don’t fire you for reporting true stories, Kenneth

Delusion - A delusion is a fixed belief that is either false, fanciful, or derived from deception. In psychiatry, it is defined to be a belief that is pathological (the result of an illness or illness process) and is held despite evidence to the contrary. As a pathology, it is distinct from a belief based on false or incomplete information, dogma, stupidity, apperception, illusion, or other effects of perception.
Delusions typically occur in the context of neurological or mental illness, although they are not tied to any particular disease and have been found to occur in the context of many pathological states (both physical and mental). However, they are of particular diagnostic importance in psychotic disorders and particularly in schizophrenia, paraphrenia, manic episodes of bipolar disorder, and psychotic depression.

We reported a story that was true, that was an uncomfortable truth for a lot of people, Rather said. As a result to that I was asked to leave the anchor chair, and eventually CBS News. Mister Rather is not in denial.
He is not "loonie"
I'm not a psychiatrist, so I can't get into this pitifully small, small man's head; however here is what I strongly suspect.
He is, without conscience of any kind, telling a calculated and premeditated lie in order to fool the foolish into according him a legacy of something other than a willful deceiver and a (would be) election thief.
He (in all self-righteousness) has no sorrow for what he has done, only that he was caught, and now will be forever known as...
Dan-the-forger!
