Margie Phelps is one sick and twisted lunatic. Chris Wallace asked her during the same interview, if there was a moral difference between al Qaeda terrorist and U.S. Soldiers, and which is worse, and she said U.S. soldiers are by far worse, and ranted about how evil they were.

I find it hard to believe a human being can hold that much hatred and not explode, literally.

I don’t disagree with you on that. However Westboro isn’t some odd little congregation that sits in their pews spouting this crap but doesn’t go looking for negative attention. They’re pretty good at calling attention to themselves. This is not a case of “ignore them and they’ll go away”.
