Rush just called him one of the last "grown up Democrats". Agreed. RIP.

Tim Russert and David Broder were the only two left-leaning news analysts with even a hint of integrity. Russert has been sorely missed and Broder will be as well.

Broder was like Juan Williams, he was a lib that could tell the truth when cornered. I liked him.

I would love to see Broder in his prime and Moynihan comment on the state of the U.S. Budget. Bet there would be some pretty scathing comments about the current administration.
But alas, the Democrat Party has no one to fill their shoes. So we are stuck with socialists and marxists to pull the party further to the left.

Hilarious. That movie never gets old.

When Russert moderated the debate between Obama and Hillary, the only person on that stage that had any business being near the Oval Office was Russert.

Too bad. Often disagreed with Broder, but he was an honest man who expressed himself well. RIP

When Tim Russert hosted MTP, I could watch the show. With the churlish leftist, David Gregory, in place, I just can’t do it. Once or twice I’ve tried, because of the guest, but don’t last more than a few minutes. Ugh.
To: chickadee
Left-leaning? LEFT-leaning? I watched and listen to these two for decades. The leftist media always puts forth a select few of their cabal to trot out when they need the example of a 'open-minded reasonable person' who obviously has a more valuable opinion than some Neanderthal conservative. Both of these two were dyed in the wool leftists; they were just smarter and more subtle about accomplishing their leftist agendas. Aimiable dispositions and cordial on-camera acts do not make an impartial observer; it just hides their true thoughts.
I don't celebrate their passing, but I do not mourn it, either.

I do not respect him. He wrote a scathing and false piece on Jesse Helms after Helm’s death. He was also quite liberal and his views have done much to destroy my country.
