The sooner they vote, the sooner the maggots will disperse.
Would someone please tell me why every news report calls these collective bargaining “rights”? It is not a right. I e-mailed a local radio station asking them to not use rights when referring to collective bargaining of public workers. What word should they be using instead?
Good live stream here”

yeah, it’s CBS but it’s a straight stream of the floor.
Oh puke, some commie is saying the protesters are simple working people in wheel chairs.....
Rep Scott Sudder now saying this show is political theater, he’s hammering the Dems
My aren’t these libs a bunch of whiny little female dogs.
However, their time is just about up.
It is about 4:10 est. Mike Tobin just lied on FOX. He said there were death threats but the cops didn’t say who they were directed to.
I call him a liar. He knows damn well.
Rally tonight at 5:00
State Street side of the Capitol
By now, you've surely heard the news. Last night, after all other business of the day had been completed and people had gone home for the night, Senate Republicans rammed through a collective bargaining law that aims to dismantle public sector unions. We need to make it clear that this assault against democracy will not stand!
Scott Walker and Republicans in both houses of the legislature have ignored the voice of the vast majority of Wisconsinites who oppose this extremist agenda, and have eviscerated both the letter and the spirit of the law and our democratic process to ram through their payback to their deep-pocketed corporate friends. Please join us tonight and make a stand against their blatent power grab.
Walker to Rats, “I Won!”
traditional1: there may be problems with the Legality of the process, but we will see.
Castigar: Why do you say that? From everything Ive heard it was strictly within the rules. Do you have some other intel?
ErnBatavia: The Judge" was explaining it an hour or so ago; by the letter of the rules, the Assembly members didn't quite get the 24 hours advance notification of the upcoming vote.
traditional1: The Wisconsin Constitution COULD be ruled to trump the Senate and Legislature Rules.....that's the key. The "Open Meetings" interpretation is what will determine whether sufficient proper notice was given.
Oconto County Circuit Court Judge Jay N. Conley ruled Wednesday that Holperin appears to be violating a rule that requires senators to attend sessions. But he wrote that it is the Senate not the courts that enforce those rules. The Senate must enforce Senate rules, if it chooses to do so. It can, also, ignore its own rules, if it chooses to do so, Conley wrote.Hopefully, the above-referenced ruling applies here also.
During an interview with conservative talk radio host Charlie Sykes this past Monday, Democrat Mayor Tom Barrett of Milwaukee (and Scott Walker’s opponent for Governor) said: “You could vote on those without those missing senators. You could vote on those tomorrow morning. You dont need 20 senators to vote on those changes to the collective bargaining. Again, if someone really wanted to end this standoff, the way you would end it is simply have a separate vote.
Sykes responded with, “Would you favor that?”
“I would certainly favor that”, replied Barrett, who’s top five campaign contributions came from labor unions.
