Fascinating how a tsunami can travel up to 550 MPH underwater
and a ship barley notices it.

Barley?

8.8?!

Good God.

I've been though most of California's biggest quakes, and they're nothing compared to 8.8.

Oh, my.

It’s currently 9:26p.m. I’m bad with time zones and thought it was later than that. Just looked it up here (shoulda done that sooner):

Sendai has about 1.5 meters of water on it.

Word is that Haneda has re-opened 2 runways. Not sure of that though.

Based on the charts, the initial wave would arrive in San Diego about the time I'm heading to work in the morning. Looks really bad.

More temblors. It’s like the ground has not stopped moving since the big one earlier.

I’ve moved the evacuation kit outside.

You mean you never saw the terrible photos of Banda Ache, and the thousands of bodies in the water afterwards? Christmans 2005 I think it was.
