US Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner shocked global markets by revealing that Washington is “quite open” to Chinese proposals for the gradual development of a global reserve currency run by the International Monetary Fund.
The dollar plunged instantly against the euro, yen, and sterling as the comments flashed across trading screens. David Bloom, currency chief at HSBC, said the apparent policy shift amounts to an earthquake in geo-finance.
“The mere fact that the US Treasury Secretary is even entertaining thoughts that the dollar may cease being the anchor of the global monetary system has caused consternation,” he said.
Mr Geithner later qualified his remarks, insisting that the dollar would remain the “world’s dominant reserve currency … for a long period of time” but the seeds of doubt have been sown.
The markets appear baffled by the confused statements emanating from Washington. President Barack Obama told a new conference hours earlier that there was no threat to the reserve status of the dollar.
“I don’t believe that there is a need for a global currency. The reason the dollar is strong right now is because investors consider the United States the strongest economy in the world with the most stable political system in the world,” he said.

I don't recall where Volcker got his degrees, but Greenspan got his Ph.D. from NYU. And remember: Volker was the first economist to lead Federal Reserve.
What are you talking about? What does education have to do with the fact that for the past century the American population has become increasingly enamored with the idea of "the world without boundaries?" It's happening, but whether any particular person was graduated by the Ivy League or another institution is not relevant at all.

Most people, however, try to root their beliefs in facts and logical reasoning. This is becomes even more of a necessity if you try to pursuade other people in the validity of your beliefs. Neither you nor the original poster, however, appear to know even remotely anything about the subject matter.
At the same time what you do say closely corresponds to conspiracy theories of people with an agenda. Thus, as it stands, your beliefs are (i) baseless and (ii) serve those whose goals are other than the truth and well-being of this country.
Once again, I do not question your right to continue holding those beliefs.

I have my personal animosity towards the Fed and it’s international cabal which includes the Rothchilds of the world. However my one most bugging thought is that this cabal was behind the asassination of JFK because he dared to have printed about $200,000,000.00 in USA Treasury notes which were to be used in place of Fed Reserve paper money. To those who think this is cloud 10 guessing, I ask them to go learn about the Rothchilds pouring money, including for wars, into international afairs for their own power. Recall that it was the Rothchilds that gave the ambitious Soros the seed money to start his hedge funds out of London. How many US politicians have been bought by cabal money is certainly a question for resolution.

If there is no foreign influence in our reserve/currency/government than why do they even bother to have the top secret buildaburger world meetings?
