Planned Parenthood held statutory rape victim hostage: police report

by Rebecca Millette

Mon Feb 14 2:55 PM EST

KENNEWICK, Washington, February 14, 2011 (LifeSiteNews.com) – A police investigation report reveals that staff at a Kennewick, WA Planned Parenthood abortion facility held a pregnant teen and victim of statutory rape hostage against the wishes of her father.

The September 2008 report, recently obtained by pro-life blogger ‘Abortion in Washington,’ documents the police investigation of the case of a 14-year-old un-named teen at the hands of Planned Parenthood (PP) staff worker Andrea Smasne.  The girl, 22 weeks pregnant, was held by Smasne at the abortion mill against the express wishes of her father and even police directives.

The release of the documentation comes on the heels of recent Live Action sting operation, which found that Planned Parenthood staffers around the country were willing to aid and abet the sex trafficking of minors.  Live Action has released videos of seven PP facilities in four different states.

The police report indicated that the 20-year-old father of the girl’s unborn child was under police investigation for sexual misconduct in relation to the young girl’s pregnancy. By law, the young girl’s pregnancy would have been considered statutory rape and her father would have been legally responsible for her.

However, according to the report, Planned Parenthood staffer Smasne defended her right to refuse the father access to his daughter, saying the girl was afraid of her father and did not want him to be there.  Police officer Wayne Meyer indicated that he asked the staff worker to release the teen to her father and was told she was “emancipated” according to the legal staff at PP.

“I then asked Smasne how old the patient was. She advised the female patient was 14yoa,” reads the report. “I then asked why they would tell the father he had to leave if his juvenile age daughter was there. At that point Smasne stated that once the juvenile is pregnant, the juvenile is emancipated, and further stated the father had no right to be present if the patient did not want him there.”

The police report indicates that the officer contacted the City Attorney’s office to find whether the girl was in fact emancipated.  “A Juvenile,” said the city attorney, “is not emancipated simply by becoming pregnant” and further, “becoming emancipated required a Court process.”

The Attorney advised a criminal investigation of PP if they could not provide such Court documentation.

Smasne told the officer that even though they could not do a late-term abortion at the Kennewick location, she was providing a “service” to the girl by giving her a referral to a Seattle abortion mill.  She refused to release the girl until the police threatened the facility with charges of Custodial Interference.

However, when Officer Meyer heard that the girl refused to sign the referral form, he demanded that the girl be brought out “right now.” At that point, he said, Smasne became very “dramatic,” asking him what he was going to do when the girl’s father “murdered her, and dumped her in a ditch on the side of the road.” The officer, however, told the Planned Parenthood staffer that “the matter was not up for debate.”

Later, during a private interview with the pregnant teen, Meyer reported that PP staff continued to walk by the open door to the room where he conversed with the girl.

The girl was finally released to her father.

An older article, but I could not find it on FreeRepublic, so I am posting it.

Basically, a 14 year old was kidnapped by Planned Parenthood to help out her 20 year old boyfriend, and prevent the father of the girl and the police from having access to the girl.

The dingbat at Planned Parenthood claimed the 14 year old was emancipated and could make her own decisions without her parents, and they could deny access of the parents to the girl...

From the article showing the Dingbat Policies and Training at Planned Parenthood

However, according to the report, Planned Parenthood staffer Smasne defended her right to refuse the father access to his daughter, saying the girl was afraid of her father and did not want him to be there. At that point Smasne stated that once the juvenile is pregnant, the juvenile is emancipated, and further stated the father had no right to be present if the patient did not want him there.”

I wonder if there is a criminal indictment yet on Smasne as well as the Legal Counsel of Planned Parenthood.

There should be some criminal indictments in this case -- not only against the 20 year old but also against employees of Planned Parenthood.

If you read either the article or my excerpt from post #3, you will see that Planned Parenthood believed the girl was emancipated because she was pregnant.

They denied access of both the father and the police for that reason.

Note that the police could not access to the girl as well...

No state emancipates a child upon pregnancy... but a few do note that, while the age of consent is XX yrs old, they carve out an exception if the girl has been married before that age. Pregnancy doesn't emancipate her from her father, but if she got even a Vegas quickie marriage and divorce, then the man has a potential defense to statutory rape.

(Not closely related to the events article, but it sprang to mind and I thought it was interesting enough to share.)

Well....yes...but, my father was an alcoholic...and very quiet....and distant....only years later, after his death did I find out his father had committed suicide when he was 13 in the family home, by hanging himself....then a lot of dominos fell into place. But, back to the point, there are MANY reasons teenage girls (and boys) would be fearful of their Father....

Oh my gosh, 22 weeks pregnant, poor both little things, the girl and her baby so far along.

I hope she gave this baby life.

I know that PP does consider the “rights” of pregnant minors over all others, but by doing so they are of course protecting the older men who often get them pregnant. PP also helps the minors get public assistance from the state for Thr abortions.

So I am wondering what connection Smasme had to the 20 y/o rapist? Why would she so vehemently defend a posistion on obvious idiotic ideas hoping somone wouldn’t step in what she was shoveling.

Because she works for Planned Parenthood.

It is part of the Saliva Test required for Planned Parenthood employees

They must be absolutely rabid about promoting abortion!

The thing is they would be strongly advising her to abort -- even if it might endanger her health.

Planned Parenthood employees have a mind set.

Just watch some of the Lila Rose undercover videos of different Planned Parenthood locations if you doubt me...

Planned Parenthood Kansas ignored 164 Cases of Child Rape according to former Kansas Attorney General Phil Kline.

Planned Parenthood is a billion dollar business that rakes in 1/3 of its budget from state and federal govt grants. Congressional Dems interrogated banking, energy, health insurance, tobacco, and oil execs — treating them like serial killers. When will Dems finally vote to defund a corrupt industry that has the blood of innocent, defenseless babies on its hands?

PLANNED PARENTHOOD'S RAMPANT GOVERNMENT FRAUD

The US Inspector General found that NJ Planned Parenthood falsified Medicaid claims to get their hands on $2.9 million they were not entitled to.

Planned Parenthood of the Inland Northwest will pay the state $345,000 after settling a 2009 audit that uncovered the clinic used incorrect codes and provided insufficient documentation for some claims billed to Medicaid.

It is estimated that the Spokane PP family-planning organization improperly billed Medicaid more than $629,000 for 333 patient procedures from March 2004 through February 2007. During that time, the clinic collected about $7.6 million from Medicaid.

Planned Parenthood California is under criminal investigation for billing taxpayers high prices for birth control equipment that they obtained on the cheap.

The Picower Foundation, one of PP's biggest financiers, was in cahoots with Ponzi thief Bernie Madoff, and was forced to give back $9B that was apparently part of a money-laundering tax evasion deal that got Picower an unlikely 900% return on investment.

PP is also suspected of aiding and abetting underage sex abuse, and suspected of participating in cover-ups----performing abortions on underage teens who were impregnated by older males, and failing to notify authorities. PP clinicians apparently covered up sexual abuse of underage teens by falsifying federal documents in order to receive federal funds for performing underage abortions. That would be classified as govt fraud.

We should not EVER use the words “Planned PARENTHOOD”....this organization is only about murder, period...albeit, it’s ‘planned’ but there isn’t any connection to ‘parenthood’ about them. They are evil and what they do is even worse.

God bless this officer for his perseverance, and not being bullied by these murderers.

That being said, may God have mercy on those staffer’s souls if I was that 14 year old girl’s father.

At that point Smasne stated that once the juvenile is pregnant, the juvenile is emancipated, and further stated the father had no right to be present if the patient did not want him there.

She read that law somewhere.

She wrote it down, and then she read it.
