Read the entire article. A mere excerpt does not do it justice.
The U.S. should wash its hands of the area and let the people who live there worry about their own affairs without any interference from us.

Bevakasha. The only reason you don’t is that the US government is full of oil whores, exploiting the US people’s true friendship with Israel for nefarious purposes. Stop giving us military aid. Stop telling us what to do. Stop enabling our enemies. They’re your enemies, too.
No, the US should support the only democratic country in the area.
wrong, but nice try
I’m inclined to agree with K-stater. It would be an improvement, at least.
But Egypt is now a demoncracy (sic).
[...Since Obama came into office, he has consistently
demonstrated that no Israeli concession will convince
him to support Israel against the Palestinians. So too,
the fact that every Israeli concession has been met by
Palestinian intransigence has had no impact on either
Obama or his European counterparts. Netanyahu’s correct
claims that the Palestinians’ intransigence shows they
are not interested in peace is of interest to no one.
— (snip) —
If Netanyahu is serious about surmounting his diplomatic
and political challenges, his best bet is to abandon his
present course altogether. The most effective way to
DEFEND ISRAEL AGAINST OBAMA is to boldly
assert, defend and implement a unilateral Israeli plan...]
KSTATER... Read my tagline.
I disagree. The US should continue supporting Israel.
RR had it right, the US needs to support democracies and fight the tyrannies. If we consistently did this, our nation would be in much better shape today.
True of every Glick commentary!
Anyone who's been there, please let the rest of us know if there are those horrible photos on the site. Managed to avoid them so far.
There is a video’d series of pictures, giving the names and faces of the victims as they appeared in life, and then showing them as they appeared last Saturday morning (HY”D). You don’t have to click on play, though.
The most effective way to defend Israel against Obama is to boldly assert, defend and implement a unilateral Israeli plan.
Obama is completely wedded to the arabs. Nothing Israel will do can change that. Nothing the arabs do can change that, no matter how many families they massacre, Obama is not going to forsake them.
The best thing Israel can do is to choose the borders they are prepared to live and die by, and set them and seal them. Force Obama to out himself as completely anti-Israel, since that is the truth of it, as that will help us to get rid of him that much sooner. A boldly pro-Israel policy will not only energize Israelis but also it will energize those pro-Israeli Americans in the US. It is pointless to appease arabs who mean to destroy you no matter what you do, and its pointless to appease an American president who is completely wedded to the arab cause.
Peace for Israel does not include an independent Palestinian state. Peace for the Palestinians does not include a state of Israel at all. Given that, it is pointless to believe that the United States can broker any kind of permanent agreement between the two. So the U.S. should stop trying. It isn't going to work. We can't pressure the Palestinians and we shouldn't pressure only the Israelies. We should stay out of it. Israel will do what it feels it needs to do to protect itself. The Palestinians will do whatever the hell they want to do regardless of what we say. We can do no good there, only bad.
To help Isreal, the best thing America could do is stop giving all the Arabs 10 times more weapons than Israel gets.
Frankly if America would stop exporting weapons, Israel would be safe. And so would Europe.

Read the entire article. A mere excerpt does not do it justice. Thanks Eleutheria5, but I'm gonna try:
Since taking office, Obama has only supported Israel against the Palestinians twice. The first time was last December. After months of deliberate ambiguity, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton announced that the administration opposes the Palestinian plan to unilaterally declare independence. Then last month the administration grudgingly vetoed the Palestinian-Lebanese draft resolution condemning Israeli construction in Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria.
In both cases, the administration's actions were not the result of Israeli appeasement, but of massive Congressional pressure. Congress issued bipartisan calls demanding that the administration torpedo both of these anti-Israel initiatives.
What this shows is that Netanyahu's strategy for contending with Obama is fundamentally misconstrued and misdirected. Obama will not be moved by Israeli concessions. The only way to stop Obama from moving forward on his anti-Israel policy course is to work through Congress.
