I’ll wait for Shep Smith to burst into tears before becoming concerned.

Seems like it depends on who you believe.

This is a massive disaster on the nuke front

OR

This is not a big deal.

I don’t think I have ever heard so many “experts” with different opinions.

Like most stories reported by the media anymore, who knows what the truth is? But, two things are for certain; It's not good what's happening in Japan and Obama has his brackets filled out.

With Japan's amazing robotics expertise, I'm expecting them to come up with robots that can crawl right into the high radiation areas and fix the problems.

Come on, Japan. We're rooting for you!

Nice little flash crash you created there, Günther. Good work. Very responsible.

Woulda, coulda, shoulda, mighta, if it, what if, maybe, possibly, if, if, if, if, if....

“What are the facts? Again and again and again – what are the facts? Shun wishful thinking, ignore divine revelation, forget what “the stars foretell,” avoid opinion, care not what the neighbors think, never mind the unguessable “verdict of history” – what are the facts, and to how many decimal places? You pilot always into an unknown future; facts are your single clue. Get the facts!”

REUTER’S STORY is up now:

EU energy chief says Japan reactor “out of control”

(Reuters) - Europe’s energy chief warned on Wednesday of a further catastrophe at Japan’s nuclear site in the coming hours but his spokeswoman said he had no specific or privileged information on the situation.

“In the coming hours there could be further catastrophic events, which could pose a threat to the lives of people on the island,” Guenther Oettinger told the European Parliament.

There could be catastrophic events within the coming hours

or days, or weeks or months..............or not. There are so many 'experts' with differing opinions, like a former SecDef once said, "We don't know what we don't know"................

Would love to know his source, but this is not good.

That breached containment pool is going to trigger trouble and there ain’t nothing anyone is going to be able to do to stop it.

Isn’t this the same official who was predicting “apocalypse” a day or two ago? Might have a flair for the dramatic.

Gunther, with all due respect to your umlaut, I’ll listen to the Japanese actually on the ground there and doing their best to fix this problem instead of some hyperventilating EU twerp six thousand miles away who’s hiding under his desk sucking his thumb and mainlining potassium iodide.

We’ve had conflicting reports for days. Plus, there’s no reason at all to think this bozo knows anything about the situation. If you were a Japanese official working on this problem, would you be calling up the EU Energy Commissioner to give him updates, or would you pay attention to business?
