Dem Rep wants to make bullying a federal offense
Hot Air ^ | 3/17/11 | Ed Morrissey

Posted on 03/18/2011 6:48:00 AM PDT by Baynative

While the Department of Education continues its crackdown on mean-spirited taunting on Facebook, some members of Congress are joining the fight in Washington’s War on Bullying with a new bill aimed directly at kids who target students with disabilities.

Rep. Jackie Speier, California Democrat, will introduce a bill that would require schools to report incidents of bullying against children diagnosed with conditions like Down syndrome and Aspergers to the federal government. It would also mandate that any federal dollars that promote anti-bullying programs focus partially on that group.

They are going after townhall and tea party “bullies”. No longer can you tell your congress-slut you are going to bash their face in. They will use this to silence angry crowds but yet let the union goons dominate.

“Why this, why now???”

They will use this as a pretext to assist young people that call themselves homosexual. They will validate the homosexual lifestyle in our public school system.

That’s my take on it. Of course, that’s not how it’s being presented to the public.

No matter how bad government programs/policies are at the outset they ALWAYS get bigger and worser as time goes on. If this goes into effect count on their becoming more and more protected/privileged classes. Offend a homosexual, illegal immigrant, welfare parasite, muslim, liberal, feminist, you name it and the feds will come after you with full force.

An excellent representation of what the federal govt has no business in doing.

Administrators, pricipals,teachers in jail..now ther’s a thought.

Interesting take as well. These things are a lot easier to figure out if you start with the understanding/assumption that everything Dems do has a political motivation.

Those exempt from ‘bullying’:

1) Minorities(except Asians) —one can’t be a bully if one is a minority

2) Homosexuals-—No more Mathew Shepards!!

3) The media because of course, they never have an agenda...

4) Black Panthers who protect voting booths

5) Government Employees at the local,state and federal level

6) Self Avowed Socialists because they care about humanity unlike the corporate pawns in the Tea Party

7) Any Progressive Hollywood actor/actress...sorry Gary Sinise, you are a bully.

8) Pro-Choice/Planned parenthood people who courageously protect reproductive rights from the Christian Taliban led by Sarah Palin

9) IRS because it is not YOUR money but the governments money

10) Members of the ‘religion of peace’ who are only protecting themselves from centuries of persecution from the evil Joos and the barbaric Christian Crusades.

extreme sarc..

Each step they make with a new PC law, no matter what they call it or how they spin it, is another move toward regulating human behavior.

1. This is a problem for parents and local school officials to solve, not the fed or even the state.
2. This is another effort by the fed to intrude more deeply into our lives.
3. The fed cannot do anything effective to solve this problem—it will just create a massively expensive bureaucracy and take power away from American citizens.
4. The fed is a far greater bully than any school kid could ever be.
5. The fed should concern itself with its actual responsibilities, like protecting us from illegal aliens and foreign and domestic terrorists.

Mark my words: bullying will eventually be defined to include:

1. Saying that homosexuality is sinful and/or deviant;
2. Any Christian evangelism (all other religions OK, including Islam);
3. Going to a town hall meeting with a Democrap politician and taking them to task on any issue (Republican politicians aren't bulied even union death threats);
4. Juries nullifying laws, or convicting criminals;
5. Rallying in public for any but lefty causes;
6. Carrying a weapon of any kind, anywhere...

This is a the camel's nose under the tent. The entire Bill of Rights can be negated from here.

Excellent point.

Like Obama's health care scam, new laws will target selected groups and allow exemptions for special groups.

The insanity continues.

In today’s topsy-turvy world the biggest bullies are the designated diversity victims. It’s Darwinianism at work once a group becomes so powerful for whatever reason that no one can touch it, it rises to the top of the food chain and becomes the new T-rex. The $100k salaried govt union victims is a good example. But just about any ‘victim’ can humiliate even deprive of their lively hood any white male with impunity in the public sector. A law like this would be codifying reverse discrimmination into law.

And the homosexual agenda is simply a cover for a more insidious agenda. The left doesn’t give a rip about homos,

but they are a useful victim group that they can use to

criminalize the beliefs those who oppose them.

That’s the whole point - criminalizing Christianity.

These people work for the prince of this world.

“Administrators, pricipals,teachers in jail..now ther’s a thought”

Yes, but think about who will be targeted.

We’ve seen countless examples of zero tolerance policies that prohibit boys from being boys. No toy guns etc.

The conservatives will be in prison. Not the criminals.

Unequal enforcement of laws is how the leftists wield power.
See the US Tax Code as a prime example.

It wouldn’t be so huge if it weren’t for the desire to exempt or punish various groups.
