Yesterday it was the Arab League... today it is the country which arguably has the biggest oil reserves in the world - Russia. And they both are very pissed at what is increasingly seen by the word as an unholy oil crusade, headed by Sarkozy, but with the US and UK not far behind. Per Reuters, Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin on Monday likened the U.N. Security Council resolution supporting military action in Libya to medieval calls for crusades. Well, when your gasoline is $9/gallon a crusade surely sounds like the politically responsible thing to do. Especially if in the process one can get on the Nobe peace prize nominations list.
From Reuters:
Putin, in the first major remarks from a Russian leader since a coalition of Western countries began air strikes in Libya, said that Muammar Gaddafi's government fell short of democracy but added that did not justify military intervention

The list, ping
Let me know if you would like to be on or off the ping list
Don´t like it, Putin? Change it.
This might mean something if it wasn’t coming from the most violent expansionist empire of the 20th century.
Lybian air strikes “defective and flawed”. an “Oil Crusade?” How does he categorize the bombing of Pan Am Flight 103 over Lockerbie? A well executed, strategic message in a bottle? Putin is a waffle sucking fascist famous for ‘eliminating’ his political opposition.
By using he word “crusade” Putin puts some evil spice in this recipe.
I like the oil crusade idea. We might as well get something back for our “efforts”. Because we are wasting money and blood fighting with the moslems. There will never ever be anything akin to freedom or “democracy” in an country where islam exists. So why try to “free” them? Put a thumb on islam and take their oil.
Hey Putin!.....Yeah, you and the horse you rode in on!
If we get oil out of this and get some relief at the pump, I will give Obama credit; however, it won’t happen. Obama is only interested in a one-world government with himself at the top. All of his actions are done with that in mind. If any of these wars were actually for oil or for anything the benefit Americans, I would be more inclined to support them.
Vlad sure has that “disinformation” part of his job nailed...
Russia’s the second largest exporter of crude on the face of the earth. How much of the “war premium” goes in yer pocket, Putin? In other words, “ qui bono?”
