Anybody who would bully or pick on a handicapped kid or child is lower than the lowest piece of slime and scum on the face of the earth.

Amen.

I personally believe laws nationwide need to be changed to allow public officials who go out of their way to not do what must be done in situations like this one be it school administrators or cops and even judges should be sued in civil courts for their actions and/or lack of actions in these type of cases.

As it stands now they cower and hide behind laws that protect their otherwise criminal and cowardly behavior knowing well they have the protection of the law to shield them. Far too long now they have acted immorally and they should be held accountable for their actions in their official capacities.

The police say that he can’t be charged because no blood was shed???

The Boston Strangler would have loved this town.

The police say that he can’t be charged because no blood was shed??? Wow, that is awesome law enforcement. My response to that would have been to ask the police officer who gave the answer to confirm his “interpretation” of the law for me one more time as I am about to punch you in the gut as hard as I can since it is not against the law.
A lot of people should lose their jobs over this.

A lot of people should lose their cushy jobs and their cushy pensions and their cushy medical care and their cushy dental care.

Then maybe the next crop of PUBLIC SERVANTS will think twice before spitting in the taxpayers' eyes.

I happened to flip to Fox last night about the time this story came on. It was so sad. When the camera went over to Gerald after the end of the story you could just see him seething at the story and I was like hmmmm Geraldo isn’t finished with this story just yet. Maybe he will do a follow up. Not that I’m a Geraldo fan, but I hope he does. The idiot school superintendents receptionist wasn’t very cooperative either. That poor kid.

Something is not right here. The bully was only suspended for 5 days, and the cops are claiming a lame excuse to not arrest. Why and who is protecting this bully. Could it be he is a star athlete? The bullies parents have some kind of pull? They need to dig deeper and get to the bottom of this.

Could it be that the bully is black and the cops are maybe black as well? Who knows?! That's kind of what it sounds like IMO.

Great, you can beat up on a retard....aren’t you quite the manly man.

Oh yeah that’s right... the civilized world gives the mentally challenged a little more latitude and a larger benefit of the doubt.

I frankly don’t care if the kid who’s not at age appropriate IQ acted first, your responsibility as someone who is, is to be better than that. What a bunch of savages.

“heck in the UK he might face charges.”
In the US he would and should face charges. If I was this kids parents I would sue the school, the bully, and who ever is protecting this dirtbag

If that happened to my child I would own that school district. If his child picked on somebody because they were black and then punched them he would be expelled and Jesse Jackson would be marching through town.

This child's legal protection lies in the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act. Staff that won't deal with this are denying that child the education guaranteed him by federal law. Crush them. Make them pay.

As a father of a special needs child, I moved to a part of the country where this crap isn't tolerated.

You have to look at the “group” the attackers belong to, also, as a factor as to whether anything will be done about it.

The police refuse to charge the assaulter, because they claim blood has to be shed first....??!!

Punch a cop in the stomach without "shedding blood" and I'm so sure they'll just laugh it off.

I can't even bear to watch it...my grandson has autism. If this happened to him I'd be up in arms and in their faces like you would not believe.

For the sake of the boy, I hope the parents get a good advocate. That poor kid.

I just find it hard to believe there isn’t a law to protect a special needs person - we have special laws for hate crimes or for elder abuse but nothing for a special needs child????? I hope the parents don’t let this one go by - they need to sue the boy involved and the school if they refuse to protect this child.

I have mixed feelings about posting this one. But I wish all bullying situations end up like this one.

Williams, over here. The attackers need someone to defend them.

I think the special needs kid tried to beat them up, but the video just doesn’t show it.

I have NO mixed feelings about that video - the bigger kid took it and took it, never taking even a defensive stance. The little prick was taunting him thinking he wouldn’t do anything (probably hadn’t many times in the past) - the little weasel got what he deserved. Thanks for posting it.
