I think anything that makes a deadly firearm appear more like a toy or a fashion accesory is not a good thing. I don’t care about sales, I care about people’s personal safety. And treating any deadly weapon with respect and not decorating it like a damn party favor or handbag.

No sale! I’m a woman and “Hello Kitty” does not give me that equalized feeling. No sale on the Barbie pink one either. Nothing that says “there’s gotta be a My Little Pony around here.”
I want something that says there’s gotta be One Hell Of A Marine around here.

'It is not fashion, it is not style, it is ... glorifying guns and making them seem acceptable. Well, they are acceptable, so go take a long walk off a short pier.

I’m all for increasing gun sales, but this cheapens them.
Guns are for grown ups.

Maybe the bullets could be made to look like little lipstick thingys.

A gun is supposed to be a deterrent first and deadly force should always be the last resort. My fear, is that a woman’s going to pull her ‘lil pink gun out of her purse and some attacker, instead of stopping and/or being frightened off, is going to think she’s pulling a toy gun on him and continue to attack.

Next we'll get a story about how the gun manufacturers are marketing their guns as toys to children.

Ultimately, the market rules; if they sell, they sell - if not, they’ll no longer be offered.
As for the anti-gunners, they should - and must - be disregarded.

Dee Edwards, co-founder of the charity Mothers Against Murder and Aggression said: 'I am utterly disgusted by this. 'It is not fashion, it is not style, it is ... glorifying guns and making them seem acceptable."I wonder what F. Uhe Tu, Chair of Mothers Against Violent and Abusive Domestic Relationships has to say about this.

And when Sarah Palin admitted to being a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association,,, OMG, Sarah came clean and "admitted" to what crime?
Got the love the way reporters word their stories.

The bottom line is if you believe that more people having more guns is a good idea, you aren't going to care what the manufacturing or retailer is doing to make the gun more marketable.
This is the constitutional position.
People that get the vapors over individuals potentially purchasing guns as a fashion accessory are only a couple of steps away from coining racist phrases such as "Saturday night special" and saying only "suitable" people should be armed.
This is not the constitutional position.
