...In a few years, their attention will turn to the annual ritual of shopping for a prom dress, and by then their fashion tastes will have advanced still more. Having done this now for two years with my own daughter, I continue to be amazed by the plunging necklines, built-in push-up bras, spangles, feathers, slits and peek-a-boos. And try finding a pair of sufficiently "prommish" shoes designed with less than a 2-inch heel...
A woman I know, with two mature daughters, said, "If I could do it again, I wouldn't even have slept with my own husband before marriage. Sex is the most powerful thing there is, and our generation, what did we know?"
We are the first moms in history to have grown up with widely available birth control, the first who didn't have to worry about getting knocked up. We were also the first not only to be free of old-fashioned fears about our reputations but actually pressured by our peers and the wider culture to find our true womanhood in the bedroom. Not all of us are former good-time girls now drowning in regret—I know women of my generation who waited until marriage—but that's certainly the norm among my peers.
So here we are, the feminist and postfeminist and postpill generation. We somehow survived our own teen and college years (except for those who didn't), and now, with the exception of some Mormons, evangelicals and Orthodox Jews, scads of us don't know how to teach our own sons and daughters not to give away their bodies so readily. We're embarrassed, and we don't want to be, God forbid, hypocrites...

How about “NOTHING”...as in, her generation knew nothing, were suckered by the feminists, and still know very little.

One issue that’s often missed is that pornography, sexual liaisons between adult women and teens, and promiscuity exacts a cost on males.

The gents of the 19th century found a glimpse of a "finely-turned ankle" to be quite exciting. Women wore dresses that covered most of their bodies back then, yet they still managed to make their appearance attractive and feminine. Of course, they emphasized small waistlines if they had them, but there was a definite line that a lady didn't cross when it came to fashion.
Based on this logic, Ms. Moses, you therefore cannot counsel your children not to lie, shoplift, say bad words, be nasty to siblings, blow off homework.....because you likely did all those things in your younger years as well.
And look up the word "hypocrite".....it's about what you're doing NOW, not what you've done in the past.
It is! Every cache is a “treasure chest” for the gdaughter, always seems to be a quarter or stick of gum in there for her. ;)
In my wasted youth as a historical reenactor, I discovered that a very modest medieval frock could stop traffic. This was covered from neck to wrists to floor by the dress, plus a floor-length veil. I recall a conversation with a friend who helped me make a dress:
Me: I paid $14 a yard for this fabric; I want to knock everyone’s socks off.
Him: Do you need to breathe?
Me: Not really; I can breathe some other time.
That is a point that I have emphasized to my daughters. Getting males to notice your body is not an achievement. Getting them to notice anything else is!

What I like to point out is that, as a guy, not all men are promiscuous, and MANY men prefer a woman with at least some degree of virtue.
I had a very serious girlfriend who eventually revealed a truly filthy past to me, and was all miffed that I wouldn't just "get over it". I couldn't even look at her the same way and broke things off. Yes, she was still a person with real feelings, but she was greatly diminished to me as a lady. Of course, all of her Lib friends and sisters thought I was just a horrible misogynist who "couldn't accept an empowered woman". I fail to see how "empowered woman" means treating your body like a toilet.

Indeed, a husband by definition is not tried or sex tamed first. Either then he is an idiot puppy dog or he has a plan to screw/rape the girl all along... just like fraud is similar to thuggish theft in the mind of the perverted sneaky perp.
Women are going to be viewed as pet sex projects, chivalry is going to be out, racist relativism in (all men are the same and want the same mantra), and trust will go down.
We wont be able to tell a plate of food from a toilet bowl as dirty snatches and cracs will be overxposed... not to mention the arrogant nuisance of attention seeking and revolting assumptions.
True causes of justice and wealth will be trashed for temporal looks.
Reminds me of the first time they were in style, along with mini-skirts. We had an office dress code. Mini’s were okay but no version of slacks or shorts for the females. One employee dared to wear them anyway. Boss sent her home to change so she just cut the crotch out of them and wore them as a skirt.
