The Donald is doing what he always will do: build the Trump brand.
He is the most brazen un-apologetic self promoting huckster I’ve ever seen. That doesn’t mean I don’t somehow like him, I just understand where he comes from.
Much would depend on whom Trump picked to staff his administration. An executive like him knows that he cannot possibly oversee his whole empire personally and needs trustworthy subordinates. Nothing would stop him from picking Sarah Palin as a veep, and this time around Trump (unlike John McCain) would let out enough chain to allow Palin to chew up Obama eight ways from Sunday. And he might latch onto other notable GOP firebrands like Bachmann, DeMint, and Herman Cain if Sarah Palin has his ear. And why not John McCain for D.C. dogcatcher, as a consolation prize.
At least Trump earned his ego.
>> I cant figure Trump out...
He’s a star, and I hope he enters the primaries alone to crank up viewership. A back-n-forth between he and Palin would be phenomenal!
Then your friends need to look a little deeper into Trumps background. He’s no conservative and I am now beginning to think he is a Democrat plant.
Ditto. Doesn't mean I wouldn't vote for him. It'd be good for a laugh, and America deserves him--or worse.
Technically he’s never personally been bankrupt, but yeah, his businesses have at various times.
However, under Obama the COUNTRY is going bankrupt. If I have to choose between a community organizer of dubious national loyalty, and a businessman who has fallen and come back again several times, at least we know the businessman CAN come back. The other guy, well, not so much.
Palin’s unelectable. Huckabee? Blech. Mitt? No. Pawlenty? Maybe. Daniels? Maybe. Cain? HELL YEAH...but he needs to gain some traction pronto.
That might all mean Trump by default. No pun intended.
IF (big IF) he could get through the primaries, I think Trump would beat Obama handily. He could probably even win NY.
Palin is as good as elected.
Trump is irrelevant.
Palin would be “unelectable” in normal times, but these aren’t normal times. The average American would sooner see a ham sandwich be President than get a second Obama term. Short of a mushy candidate on the order of John McCain who says his opponent would be a perfectly fine president, the GOP candidate will be a shoo-in.
A Democrat plant, really? Who could possibly buy off Trump or convince him to do ANYTHING that he wasn’t doing on his own accord?
He’s not as conservative as I’d like, but economically, he can do what has to be done. He’s even hinted at a pro-life stance (not sure where I heard that but it was a couple different times).
That means Palin has star power. She has the conservative base + the fickle masses if someone like Trumpboy doesn’t mess things up.
No matter what he does, you gotta love this guys confidence and balls. Plus his wife is smokin' hot.
Cain has no shot. Not even worth thinking about. I like Daniels, which means he has no chance (no one I like ever does.) I’ve pretty much sunk into political nihilism anyway. I’m just here to enjoy the absurd spectacle.
He voted for Bush both times...but he did sour on him big time in the second term. He was strongly against Iraq and probably had more than a few criticisms on his economic leadership.
In who’s universe?
Palin is damaged goods. I like her, a lot, but she’s still damaged goods.
“Barf”.
Yes Donald has a way about him. IMO Barry’s worst nightmare is that Trump makes this a big issue. At some point he will back Barry into a corner and its just too bad some of our spineless congress critters have not done this already.
No thanks to Trump. Among other things- He can’t even run a company without bankrupting it. How does anyone believe he can run a country. And that is just for starters.
