Trump: Bush probably worst U.S. president [was pimping Hillary for Prez in 2007]

Trump: Bush probably worst U.S. president

Businessman and "Apprentice" television star Donald Trump blasted President George Bush today, calling him "probably the worst president in the history of the United States," and blaming his 2004 victory on the Democrat ticket.

Appearing on CNN's "Situation Room," Trump was asked by host Wolfe Blitzer his opinion of Democrat presidential candidate John Edwards.

"I don't know him," Trump answered. "People like him. I know people that like him very much, but I really don't know him."

Trump went on to say that Edward's experience as John Kerry's 2004 running mate was a negative in his estimation.

"Well, I think that's a huge negative, because that was a shame that that race was lost, because look what we have right now," Trump said. "It's a disaster. So, you know, I would probably be inclined not to like him on the basis that he lost an election that should have been won. That election should have been won."

Trump noted that the blame fell on Kerry as well.

"He's a friend of mine. But I'm so upset that he blew it," he said.

"I think Bush is probably the worst president in the history of the United States. And I just don't understand how they could have lost that election."

The entire transcript of Trump's interview with Blitzer can be read here.

No one ever considered him a conservative. He is a celebrity playing politics.

4% unemployment under Bush. Nuff said.

I wouldn't be surprised. How come Trump didn't bring up O's birth certificate in 2007 or 2008? Why is it such a big deal to him now?

now that it’s the norm, he doesn’t have a choice if he wants to remain competitive and that doesn’t change the fact that he was right in 1992 when he warned us of the “giant sucking sound”.

Right-o, Bush should have known that the New Orleans disaster management plan was a joke, and personally driven all these buses to the Superdome.

I discount anyone upset that John Kerry didn't win in 2004. Sure Bush wasn't a rock ribbed conservative, but the worst President ever? More so than Wilson, FDR, Nixon, Ford, Carter or Clinton? Please....

Trump will do some useful damage to obama.
He won’t be the Repub nominee and I don’t believe he will siphon enough votes to save obama....

Look at unemployment, low inflation, lower deficits, etc. The economy was booming under Bush. despite 9/11. We kicked despots out of Iraq and Afghanistan and brought in free elections. We kicked a mudhole in the terrorist movement by killing their leaders.

What do we have under Obama? Misery.

FDR beat both Hitler and Tojo in less than 4 years.

But Bush 2 could not beat Al Qeada in Afganistan in 7 years. And the best he could do in Iraq was a cease-fire, which will probably go bad once US troops leave.

We have been stalemated in both Afghanistan and Iraq. And that has emboldened radical islam everywhere.

Plus, Bush did absolutely nothing to secure the Mexican boarder. We will pay dearly for this in the future.

Any good Bush might have done pales in comparison to the above. So if Bush was not the worst president, he comes close.

And we’re supposed to believe this guy is a conservative republican?
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

I agree 100%. Now he’s PANDERING to the so-called media. Ignoring the stupidity of Obambi and the colossal naivety of Carter and to attack Bush who actually followed our Constitution for 8 years is incredibly stupid on his part.

He’ll be a regular guest on the VIEW now that he’s attacked Bush. He’s now removed himself from any conservative support by flapping his big mouth. He’s had his 15 minutes of Freeper interest.

Don't think it's to divide at all. He's speaking of something NO ONE WILL touch on. It is a risk for him to take. Courts won't touch it and Col Lakin is in jail because of it I'm not jumping ahead and bringing the presidency into it. We don't even know who's running.

I'd rather focus on what he is doing now and not be caught up with the media coming against him, solely, because of him doing the job the media failed to do from '08 on. They are pumping for barry and will use whatever they have to make Trump look less than barry. I'm not biting their use of his possible run for presidency - to defuse him now. I'm supporting Trump on this. In another year, I'll focus on the presidency - right now, thumbs up for what Trump is doing for our Constitution and our military.

I did state in another post that I disagree with that statement.

However, I’ve followed Trump and read a couple of his books.

He probably considers Bush bad not because of what he did, but how he handled it. Trump is all about the packaging and the presentation and being a salesman.

We can all admit Bush wasn’t the greatest at that. But, no, he didn’t deserve the “worst” label at all.

International trade has some free markets and a lot of rigged and manipulated ones because some nations (not us) actually act in their national interest. They engage in mercantilism. Donald’s point is that we are the patsy of those who rig trade like China, Japan and other Asian nations

We have good rule of law across the Unites States so free markets are real within our borders and can be enforced. International trade doesn’t work like that.

We also run a huge trade deficit in oil and energy. We have to produce more here by setting loose our drillers and energy producers

“Trump: Bush probably worst U.S. president”

While Bush did incalculable damage to the conservative cause, he is no where near to the worst tier of presidents (Lincoln, FDR, LBJ, Carter, Obummer), and Trump knows that. Trump throws these statements out for headlines.

Every conservative should know that Trump is all over the map with his opinions and should not seriously be considered for any elective office.

Which is not to say that I don't appreciate Trump's poking his finger in the Fraud's eye.

He is a whore. I really don’t know why anyone would be surprised to come to that realization. Assuming anyone here is surprised.
