KNIGHT: Marching in lockstep with homosexual agenda (Great read)
The Washington Times ^ | April 5, 2011 | Robert Knight

Obama militants shoot warrior tradition first, ask questions later

"We used to conform behavior to the military. Now we're conforming the military to behavior."

Rep. Allen B. West, Florida Republican, belled the cat neatly during a hearing last Friday on the military's breakneck pace in implementing the new lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) law.

Mr. West, whose 20-plus years in the U.S. Army included combat commands, noted that he and others at Fort Bragg had to endure "sensitivity training" in the 1990s. It didn't enhance the "warrior ethos," he recalled.

What became clear at the hearing of the House Armed Services Committee's Personnel Subcommittee chaired by Joe Wilson, South Carolina Republican, is that the Pentagon is forging into unknown territory, driven by political correctness, not military need.

Mr. Wilson, Mr. West and Rep. Mike Coffman, Colorado Republican, were openly skeptical about how honest the process has been. Mr. West noted that political correctness can prove costly, as when commanders ignored Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan's plunge into radical Islam before the Fort Hood shootings. Likewise, people are afraid to share qualms over the LGBT law, Mr. West said.

Let's pause. To come right to the point, I'm going to summarize in a voice adapted from a Tom Clancy novel:

"Here's the skinny. Two Pentagon pukes showed up and dodged every important question about whether it's a good idea to have open homosexuality in the armed forces. Republican reps nailed them several times, but didn't go in for the kill. However, they landed heavy ordnance and got plenty on the record to show how stupid, immoral and (expletive) reckless this is."

The deal was supposed to be that forcing soldiers, sailors, Marines and airmen to accept homosexuality would not begin until 60 days after three men - President Obama,..

Obama, Gates and Mullen can't, in all honesty, "certify" that it won't hurt military readiness. But then I know Obama doesn' give a whit about honesty and the other two seem to be carrying his water.

Back in the good old days the motor pool used comic books featuring a monkeyto instruct the troops in the maintenance techniques for track vehicles.

I seriously doubt that sort of reqirement has gone to a better future ~ but the Generals and homosexual experts on the empowerment committee seem to be totally unaware of the educational needs of the troops.

What is needed are some INTERESTING DRAWINGS, even if that involves putting a tail on a drag queen who then explains what is going on in squeeks while scratching her hairy armpits.

I don't know about Gates, but Mullen is kind of stuck between a rock and a hard place. As an officer he serves at the President's pleasure, so he has to implement policy.

Remember the abominable way that McCrystal was treated by the kenyan usurper; being forced to meet for 20 minutes on the tarmac in London in between meetings with Oprah and the Olympic committee. It was a disgrace but McCrystal had to put up with it, or flush a 30+ year military career down the crapper.

I always remember being in the Navy during Clinton's term. You never heard senior brass complain until AFTER they retired, then they'd open up with both barrels, that's probably similar to what's happening with Adm Mullen.

You don't get to high flag rank without knowing how to pick your battles and avoid the mines.

Admiral Mullen did not speak out against the repeal of DADT before it was ramrodded through a lame duck Congress.

USMC General Amos did speak out against the repeal before the repeal was passed. Gen. Amos did say if it was repealed he would obey his orders to carry it out.

There’s a huge difference in Amos and Mullen and I’m backing Amos.

The real question is: will the pictures taken during Gay Pride Week in Fort Bragg and Parris Island next year be posted on FR?

Will they call the new queer units The Squealing Gerbils, The Big Brown One, The Pink And Gay, Flirting First or Hell On High Heels? They will give new meaning to Special Forces. This is sickening.

Too true. Amos is exceptional. My only point was that on average it's rare for a senior officer to question the C in C, because they have a lot to lose. Amos is one who stands for what's right and let the chips fall where they may.

Agreed, the vast majority of senior officers are far too political, it’s a shame officers like Amos are in the minority.

It is pretty bad, as you say. I don’t care what that stupid poll conducted by Defense leadership said — that most everyone in the military thinks repeal would be hunky-dory. The men in the Marine combat units did not favor repeal. Why did we not listen to them?

With open homosexuals in the foxholes and showers, there will be a gradual deterioration of the macho fighting spirit. It will hurt our military, making it more European and squishy.

In the greatest military in the world, and in health care (also the best system in the world), liberalism means nothing but destruction.

We need those scrubbing bubbles I remember from the old military training films -to scrub the minds of those like Mullen and Gates—and any who wish us to believe repeal of DADT and open Sodomy in the ranks will make our Military any better.

Mullen spoke vociferously in favor of DADT repeal prior to it’s repeal.
